Hi guys. I tested this recently on notebook with Windows 10. I installed Firefox, sign in to my account, synced everything. Let's say, I need to delete all the data and this account from this particular device. I couldn't find such an option. When I deleted my account from Firefox, all the data left on the notebook! Even when I uninstall the browser, and then install it again - browser restored all the data!!!

Is it possible to delete my sync account and all the data related to it: history, bookmarks, sessions, extensions, add-ons, everything?

Let's say, I'm signed in on a friend's laptop and need to delete everything later.

A while back, I discovered a Google plugin hidden within Firefox. I figured maybe one thing was fine until I realized that Widevine actually did some bad stuff to your OS, since it needs to access the internal OS to block screenshots and screen recordings. Today, I discovered that geolocation also uses Google servers, and in the process of turning it off I also discovered that there is this "Safe Browsing" that also uses Google. Looking even further, even some of the privacy things redirect to Google. I haven't even mentioned that the default search engine is Google. Even if Google paid you to make them the default, you could create a prompt on the first launch asking for search engine, with Google selected by default but another search engine (like DDG) recommended. All of this Google software is likely sucking on our data.

Now while writing this post, I noticed something even worse. Why are Google servers on the filter whitelists? This is uncool. I understand, maybe your website needs to detect Firefox to function correctly, and antifingerprint would break it. But WHY GOOGLE? All of this seems to be going against the goal of privacy. How are you supposed to expect a random person to go directly to about:add-ons, disable Google Widevine, go to about:preferences, disable safe browsing, go to about:config, enter the "danger" zone confidently, and delete Google from the 10,000 times it appears in the config?

As Firefox doesn't allow you to prevent updates, is there a way to get the HTTPS switches working, or is this another introduced bug we are supposed to put up with? If I attempt to access my router using 192.168.1.1 Firefox automatically changes the address to https://192.168.1.1. Guess what you morons: NONE OF MY ROUTERS USE HTTPS AND CANNOT BE ACCESSED! Instead I now use Edge which allows what I enter to be used and gives me access. Another reason to dump this crap. Why is it that each and every time I am forced to update: I don't get a choice, I get another reason not to use Firefox. If you charged for this crap the developers would have been sacked long ago. Please don't insult my intelligence by pointing me Privacy & Settings because none of the options make any difference. So when can we expect to get working software?

I try to clear cookies and site data but it doesn't work and keeps coming back. I've cleared hundreds of times before with no problem but now for some reason the data doesn't clear. I've tried clearing history first, or clearing each item individually but nothing working? What do I do?

I can't find anything about a compromised Firefox update while using the browser when you go to help and let the browser update itself. It seems you've been hacked because I can't otherwise explain the firefox background update 308046BoAF4A39CB, which is been detected by my systems. I obviously have more information about this if you like, but I see nowhere how to report this properly. This is the first time this has happened to me, at least as far as I know and so far I've only detected the Tr.Gen threat on my Windows computers. I would like an adequate response from Mozilla on how this could happen and what the repercussions are plus how to avoid this in the future. I've been using the Firefox browser on all my systems with various operating systems and would prefer to keep using it, but not if your own updating process is comprimised. I also think it's idiotic that I can't upload a bigger screenshot than 1024 kb because my very relevant picture is 3084 kb in size.

For a website I have created two different accounts. However, Firefox Lockwise allows me to save only one. Is there a way of saving two different logins/passwords on the same web page? Thanks TS

It's a simple question: Why Firefox enforces by default extensions like Amazon, Bing, eBay, Google ? What really these extensions do?

Paradox#1: Firefox enforces to use those totally insecurity and unreliable companies! Paradox #2: Firefox don't even show those extensions mentioned above! Paradox #3: Even when I remove them from "Options->Search Engines" these ones keep being enabled and hidden! Paradox #4: Third party program needed to manage those Firefox hidden extensions! I Disable all above extensions by "CCleaner" and: Paradox #5: they comes back by default in every Firefox damn update!

I wish I'm wrong I would pleased if someone explain in an article, or even in few words, why all those. I think Mozilla should detailed explain.

I like Firefox unfortunately all browsers are so 1999... It is impossible to use without addons, if you browser internet a lot and have opened a lot of tabs and windows. I bumped into this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1155401 Saying: this will open another instance of Firefox. But nothing is bulletproof! So ask, if this will isolate me from addons, which I would open in first instance of Firefox.

About a week ago, Firefox began occasionally opening a webpage or even my Google login window in some random language. Opening a new tab and closing the errant tab would result in the same page opening correctly in English. The language used when Firefox erred was never the same twice. In the last couple days the rate of errors has accelerated. Any ideas how to fix this problem? Is someone other than me using my Firefox credentials?

I have read over this topic on Firefox not storing passwords. I have this issue. I can not get it to function regardless of what I do. Is it because I am running Windows Ten? I am about to stray to some other browser. I can not explain the sadness of having lost all my bookmarks and passwords. I have Mozilla back up and that has always worked but no longer.

I have my preferences to set to keep my logged and save cookies, but lately I have been getting logged out of websites I use regularly such as Reddit, GMail, Yahoo. History is set to clear when I close my browser because I don't need to be reminded that I searched for random words so I could spell them correctly.

This morning for example, I signed into Reddit because I had gotten signed out since last night. Did my reading. Closed my browser. Came back. Opened Reddit again and was signed out. It doesn't happen every time I close my browser. I may stay signed in for a few days with no issue or, like this morning, I don't stay signed in for very long. I even got a message that I wasn't signed in on tab I opened from another tab.

Is this a bug? Some undocumented feature?

It's not all bad though since it keeps me from constantly checking FB which I use 2FA for and hate going through.

We run Firefox on all our clerk computers at the public library where I work. Since the most recent update, our online circulation website which we use to check out books, receives a pop-up blocked message every time we try to print a hold receipt for an item. The website has always been added as an exception to our pop-up blockers, and until just after the most recent update, the blocker had no problem allowing the website through. Now it does. I have tried clearing the browser caches, removing and adding the website to the exceptions list again, and restarting the browser, as well as adding different variations of the website to the exceptions list. In the end, we just had to turn the pop-up blockers off. I searched online for anyone else who had this issue, but the ones I found dated back to 2014-2015, and the solution they came up with no longer seems to exist in the Firefox settings. So I'm hoping to find an answer here! Thanks.

I do need help on the following issue: I'm logged in my mailbox with Firefox browser. The password is saved and available in the browser settings. BUT. If I try to enter it and log in from another device, the mail service says the password is wrong. I can't understand how it is possible. The browser should use one of the saved passwords for the authorization, right? Why doesn't it work outside this very browser?

MAYBE one day I changed the password in the mail service, logged in, BUT didn't refresh it in the browser settings? May the browser use some cookies, service files or something like that for authorization despite unactual password saved? If yes, then how is it possible to extract the true password out of those files?

I turned to the mail service support, but they can't help me, because I didn't enter my real name, phone number or something during registration that could help to check my identity. So the only opportunity to save my mail is to use the browser files somehow. I'm going to reinstall Windows and I will loose access to my mail forever in this case that would be very very bad.. ((( Please, help!

I cannot log in to my Google account with Firefox. I get this message: You appear to have no security keys registered on your account, and won’t be able to sign in. To sign in on this device, ask your admin about registering a new security key or choosing another second step for verification.

I am the administrator of my account on Google Workspace. I have no idea what the problem is. I have MFA turned on and I am able to log in to Google with Chrome and Edge. I don't see an option on the Google Admin security tab to create a new security key. Please advise on a fix. Thanks

I have tried on windows and on linux, and the same thing happens for both. I don't get the plugins i should have. I want to try and enable java, but its not even appearing in the first place. My profile directory is all messed up as well. I don't have a pluginreg.dat, my extensions.sqlite is an extensions.json. I have been reading all the forums but they mention stuff about the files in the profile, but I don't have those files.

Hey, All of the saved logins and passwords are gone while the bookmarks remain.

I noticed that logins and passwords disappeared after the computer turned off unexpectedly due to low battery and unstable power connection couple times in a few minute interval.

How do I get back logins and passwords?

I have had it with Firefox playing cop. I really have. I have a site that I visit frequently but these past two updates have now broken my ability to sign into the site at all, even in private mode. All I get is the shield and human icons with the strike-through and the error message on the user name/password field that says: This Connection Is Not Secure. I've hit the escape button, tried private windows, done everything I can including resetting which was my last resort and which I hate doing, there's no more whitelist, no way to bypass anything, this is totally unacceptable that I cannot get past this. Firefox is becoming more useless to me as they try to become more and more in control of what I can and cannot do. If there is no override to this, then I have to find a different browser because it's pretty useless to use one browser for some sites and another for other sites, don't you think? So if someone has a workaround for this problem, can you please tell me what it is?
