Hello, I am running Firefox on a W10-Pro PC. I always click the lock to check certificate validation. In the last month I keep seeing "Connection verified by a certificate issuer that is not recognized by Mozilla".

When I click for more information I see that "Norton Web/Mail Shield" does not recognize the certificate issuer. When I click on Learn More it takes me to a Firefox site "How to disable the Enterprise Roots preference" I also checked W10 certmgr.msc and I see Norton is listed. Images included below. I would love to resolve this issue. Thank you for your time.

Hello,

I just did a full windows defender scan and it turns out Trojan:Script/Wacatac.H!ml popped up when it was done and it said the files affected were:

containerfile: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.default-release\cache2\entries\InsertHashHere

file: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\.default-release\cache2\entries\InsertHashHere->(GZip)

I removed the hashes or whatever they were behind the entries, I was wondering if this was a false positive? I didn't notice any slowed down or hacked accounts, also windows defender quarantined it. I've also reinstalled Firefox and deleted all folders associated with Mozilla in AppData.

After many years with (up-to-date) Firefox as my browser, I have enjoyed being automatically signed in to Google. A few days ago, Google started requiring me to sign in for every new session. There is no issue with another person creating an issue. The problem seems to be Firefox will not save cookies and data. In Privacy and Security and in "Clear Data" the "cookies and site data" box is NOT checked since I do not want them deleted. The "cached web content" box IS checked because it can be deleted. When I click on "Clear" the "Clear Data" box disappears. When I open the box again, the "cookies and site data" box is again checked even though I had unchecked. The "cached web content" box is checked which is correct. There is no box labeled "save". My only choices are "cancel" or "delete". I have refreshed Firefox and deleted 3rd party apps. How can I make Firefox remember to save "cookies and data"? I do not want to have to sign in to Google every session.

Uncontrolled connections

I start firefox with following policies.json

{

   "policies": {
       "AppAutoUpdate": false,
       "BackgroundAppUpdate": false,
       "DisableAppUpdate": true,
       "DisableFeedbackCommands": true,
       "DisableFirefoxAccounts": true,
       "DisableFirefoxStudies": true,
       "DisablePocket": true,
       "DisableSystemAddonUpdate": true,
       "DisableTelemetry": true,
       "ExtensionUpdate": false
   }

}

But uncontrolled connections to the following addresses continue anyway:

I may have missed something and you can tell me how I can control these connections inclusive. Because all other connections can be controlled by configs and policies. But not these and it raises big questions. It seems to me that the browser should allow to configure any network requests that aren't related to the user web browsing itself. If some connections cannot be controlled in any way then I can't call it anything other than either a bug or an attempt to monitor users as do in Google Chrome.

This is a really strange problem, something I have never encountered before.

I have two- near identical desktop computers Computer 1 is an HP Elite Pro 8300 Computer 2 is an HP Elite Desk 800 G1

Both have the exact same latest version of Windows 10 (Pro 64 Bit Version 22H2) Both have the exact same version of Firefox (133.0) Both Firefox browsers are synced via my Firefox account, so same Settings, same Bookmarks, same Extensions etc.

Yet one of them has a problem with remembering certain input field criteria (although they both remember passwords and usernames just fine). I have uploaded some screengrabs as one illustration of this problem

Essentially, this a courier website which I use for sending packages. I have a site ID number

When I use Computer 1 to make a booking, it has always remembered my Site ID. When I open the page, the SiteID field is already filled in, and the "Remember Me" checkbox is already checked. See Computer1.png

However, when I use Computer 2 to make a booking, I have to enter the SiteID every time, even though I check the "Remember Me" checkbox, and click the "Book a Pickup" button, the next time I open the page, the SiteID input field is blank, and the "Remember Me" checkbox is unchecked. See Computer2.png

At first, I thought it was a problem with the computer, but I tried using Chrome on Computer 2 and it works fine . See Computer2A.png

I cannot think of anything that might be causing this. I have even gone through the Settings pages side-by-side to make sure all the checkboxes are identical. Nothing different that I can find. There are other web pages that do similar things with fields that are not usernames or passwords, but all passwords and usernames for the other website I login to are remembered fine, and they are all listed in the saved passwords section of Settings.

Any help or ideas I could try would be appreciated.
