My set homepage on Firefox was in English and has now switched to Spanish. Nothing I do will allow me to change to the English version. I have searched using different engines but every time I pick the English version of the MSN news website after clicking on the link it comes up in Spanish.

Oddly, if I pull up the Firefox private browser it comes up as the English version as it shows in my homepage settings. Any idea on what is going on?

Hi. I've downloaded dictionaries and languages, the check spelling option is enabled in the browser settings. However, browser doesn't want to do it automatically. I have to manually enable it with RMB context menu (and re-select languages) for each website individually. Moreover, when the page refreshes, spell checking turning itself off again in RMB menu (but stays enabled in browser options).

  Is this really how it's supposed to work?

Nach dem Update vom Oktober kann Firefox nicht mehr auf Deutsch angezeigt werden. Die Umstellung auf Deutsch in den Einstellungen haben keine Wirkung. Was ist zu tun?

Đây là một tính năng rất cần thiết, đặc biệt là đối với tôi khi thường xuyên đọc tài liệu nước ngoài. Việc gặp phải những từ khó khiến quá trình đọc hiểu trở nên chậm hơn, vì vậy nếu có sẵn tính năng dịch từ ngôn ngữ khác sang tiếng Việt thì sẽ vô cùng tiện lợi và hữu ích. Tôi nhận thấy hiện nay trình duyệt đã hỗ trợ dịch từ tiếng Việt sang tiếng Anh, nhưng chiều ngược lại thì chưa có. Rất mong cộng đồng hoặc đội ngũ phát triển có thể chia sẻ thêm thông tin về việc liệu tính năng này có nằm trong kế hoạch phát triển tương lai hay không, và nếu có thì dự kiến khi nào sẽ ra mắt. Hello! Why do I get all of the Tools Menu in english when I've chosen Norsk Bokmål as standard language for my use at sites/streaming etc. What is the purpose of selecting the desired language if the tool options are only displayed in English?

I was previously successfully using the translate selection with the translate dialog automatically detecting the language of the selected text. Then, with that dialog open, I tried changing the from/to language - you know, just messing around - and now it refuses to automatically detect the language. It is now stuck on Tranlate to French. I've checked my settings page and my default language is English. Where is it getting the idea I'm French? Annoying af.

How can I get the automatic language selection to English as it previously was?

NOTE: As I was composing this request, I visited the Amazon store - as that's where I use the feature most - and noticed it's probably the tool itself that's broken recently as it was getting it right all the time before but now it's hit or miss. Again, annoying af especially because I've come to rely on this a lot. Please fix.

I don't know why, but when I browse pages in English, the context menu offers to "translate selection into Hebrew". This is weird and totally unwanted. I don't know how FF decided that I need translations, and specifically to Hebrew!

In the settings, my preferred language is "English (US)". In "translation settings", the list of "Translation will happen automatically for the following languages" is empty, and the list of "Translation will not be offered for the following languages" has Hebrew and French. (I would add English but I don't see how.)

Is there a way to just remove this translation option from the context menu?

Japanese characters usually do not render.

I can reproduce this issue by:

• going to the Wikipedia page for the katakana Unicode block.
• going to any YouTube comment with Japanese text.
• hovering over the screenshot of the YouTube comment so that the tooltip containing the name of the file is shown.

On YouTube the text renders only if 1.27916663885116563rem <= font-size <= 1.92083328962326036rem. Increasing `gfx.font_rendering.fontconfig.max_generic_substitutions` from 3 to 99 allows some punctuation to render and makes the text take up horizontal space. Further increase of the value to 999 causes the interpunct to render in the Wikipedia page.

For example, the word thema, is exclusively capitalized in German, and it shows as error indeed when lowercase, but the capitalized one is not offered in the options. Why is that and how to fix it?

Also, is there a way to autocorrect capitalization for example?

Just noticed that Firefox only has translation for Chinese Simplified from Mainland China, but no Chinese Traditional from Hong Kong and Taiwan users. Any plans to get it going? I would hate to switch back to Chrome or Edge instead.

I installed Firefox on my M4 Mac and it was in English, now it's in some other langue and I can't change it back. I deleted it, and reinstalled, same issue.

I cannot get it installed in English and have it remain in English. Please help.
