I am a Linux user. So I have a folder called .moziila. Firefox use this folder to save settings and so on. If you are a Windows user you also have this folder C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla.

So I have a folder (Linux) /home/name/.mozilla/firefox/rt7gtt8p.default/ (I will call it System Folder later)

If I would be a Windows user I would have this folder here: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default (I will call it System Folder later)

But I want to have a folder called "sessionstore-backups" in System Folder. I had it and I want enable it folder again.

How can I enable "sessionstore-backups" in System Folder? My goal is to have a file called recovery.jsonlz4. Without this folder Firefox will not create recovery.jsonlz4 for me. So I don't have a folder "sessionstore-backups" and I don't have a file called "recovery.jsonlz4" but I want to have it, but how? Maybe I need to add something to about:config?

I don't know if this is an issue with cookies or with something else, but it's driving me to use Edge to access my email. Site is email.godaddy.com

Many sites now require two-factor authentication. The second factor is often in email. It is dysfunctional for me to keep using Firefox since I can't login to email.godaddy.com. I can login to it using MS Edge, but switching back and forth between two browsers repeatedly is not something I can do. Firefox has been my go-to browser for everything for a long, long time.

What things can I try to fix this?

Here's some of my FF settings: Privacy & Security

 Browser Privacy
Enhanced Tracking Protection - No exceptions
Custom select (Not Standard or strict)
Choose which trackers and scripts to block
       Checked:
           cookies (all 3rd-party cookes),
           tracking content (in all windows),
           cryptominers,
           fingerprinters
Send websites a "Do Not Track" signal - Always
    Cookies and Site Data
I might be in "permanent private browsing mode" because this box is check
    AND greyed out:
Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed (check, greyed out)
    Logins and Passwords
Unchecked: Ask to save logins and passwords for websites
    Unchecked: Use a Primary Password
Forms and Autofill: Checked: Autofill addresses
    History:
will Use custom settings for history
Checked: Always use private browsing mode

I turned off all 3 add-ons (HTTPS every, Privacy Badger, Dark Reader) but that didn't help anything.

Firefox 81.0 64-bit Operating System: Windows 10

Please help? I have used Firefox for more than a decade. It is too unreasonable to have to login to email in the Edge browser, get the "code" or whatever, and then switch back to Firefox to login to more secure sites. Switching back and forth repeatedly confuses me and is too dysfunctional for me. I need to resolve this somehow.

Thank you!

I'm not sure I understand how bookmarks work in Firefox. So I have an account and was logged in on a previous computer. That computer died, so I don't have files to import/restore. So does this mean all my bookmarks are gone because Firefox sync doesn't actually sync anything to my log in?

Thanks

I can no longer access my administrative account with the schedule website Punchpass. I was logged in and actively working on the website a few days ago and all of a sudden I got a "Tab crash reporter" notification and I can no longer access the website in Firefox. I have no problems with the website in Safari. Firefox says it is up to date. I am working on an older MacBook Pro, which is running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 and I do sometimes have problems because of this. Is there a way to fix the problem? The support people with Punchpass were unable to offer an advice other than making sure Firefox is up to date. Attached is a screenshot of the error message.

Thanks

I finally figured out why Firefox kept warning me about opening too many tabs at once: this command is the first option on the pop up menu when I click and hold a moment too long on a folder that is part of my bookmarks toolbar (some of these have dozens of bookmarks)

'Open all in tabs'

this is on my Windows 10 PC using Firefox beta.

Is this a command I can hide/delete/inactivate? I'm quite certain I've never wanted to do this and probably will never want to do it, and now on a machine where I use a mouse with right click it is disturbingly easy to click this accidentally. I want to disable the command entirely.

I did check about:config and saw nothing obviously relevant.
