Every web page with video / audio content begins to autoplay (at the vid's highest volume) approximately 5 seconds after opening the page. I could disable this in Safari and Chromium, but see no option to disable the 'Autoplay' feature in Firefox. Worse, there are no plug-ins or extensions available that will allow this to be done. If you have had success disabling this annoying 'feature' (it's not a 'bug,' right?), please advise how it was done so that I may rid myself of these annoying vids. Thanks in advance.

I have been suffering unresponsive script and have followed all the previous advice. I have installed the yesscript add on but it is not helping. I have added google. gmail etc yet i am still getting the errors. i am having to force quit on a regular basis. getting close to giving up on fire fox as i spend more time restarting and restoring and adding addresses to yesscript than actually browsing.

I've been comfortable on my computer and online for over a decade but with the new FIREFOX I am lost nothing works - I might as well be a new user as it is.

Currently I AM TOTALLY SCREWED and TICKED OFF. STUPIDLY I installed the NEW FIREFOX update to my computer and it has made my computer so screwed up it is unusable even if I use Windows Internet Explorer.

I don't know everything its done but for starters I can't read my hotmail email. It doesn't open.

I cannot type anything, my keyboard is nonresponsive.

It says I have an AdBlocker that is interfering with the AP that is part of the NEW FIREFOX so I can't COPY any text.

This is just the tip of the iceberg I'm sure there is more wrong aka screwed-up its just since I can't "intereact" I don't know yet.

GMAIL I CAN READ, it still opens but even it is changed even using Internet Explorer.

I can't type anything into OUTLOOK SITE HELP because my keyboard doesn't work in Hotmail - it works in GMail but still the functions are totally screwed up. LIKE cut and paste - No longer can I copy or cut part of an earlier email, it sees the whole thing / email as one whole thing to be copied or not.

WHAT KIND OF INTERNET BROWSER "UPDATE" takes over everything on a computer. Firefox has changed how everything works. Is this some kind of APRIL FOOLS HOAX IN NOVEMBER or malware?

How do I access the RESTORE TO AN EARLIER DATE function?

Outlook / Hotmail which I can't read - it just puts a checkmark as "accessed" SILLY ME - I like to be able to actually READ my email.

The only way I'm able to do anything online is because thankfully I have my APPLE Desktop.

I DIDN'T GIVE FIREFOX THE RIGHT TO CHANGE EVERYTHING ON MY COMPUTER including other programs - this is OUTRAGEOUS.

Seems as tho older users get left behind. Its either spend thousands $ or use old Firefox settings. Same goes for Safari. Can;t there be some common ground to update us old fans?

I thought I was just trashing dowload folder content, but now the icon is gone, and I don't know how to access. The progress icon in upper right is still working. How to I restore the dock icon, etc.?

Hello, we need help with some update issue. Some time ago we've used web extension auto update. Once we uploaded new version to our host, web extension showed popup and suggested to restart browser. Also, when extension lost focus and popup faded, we called "browser.runtime.reload()" - that forced browser to make immediately check update, also as i know, just after restart, browser did check update, so after these two actions user had last extension version. Few days ago we've notices that these actions stopped working. Neither runtime.reload() nor browser restart don't call check update and now we have to wait some time, when browser decide to check it. Was it temporary bug or our mistake and these shouldn't work(check update) at all? Thank you.

Since my update to the latest version (56.0.2), Firefox as been reporting that I'm running a much earlier version (48). This has killed about a third of my addons.

The solution that appears to work for most, unbolding general.useragent strings in about:config doesn't apply in my case because none were/are bold.

Not sure how Headline Alley downloaded onto my Mac? It has taken over my Firefox browser. I've searched on line, and it is referred to as Malware. Is it really? I don't what any of my information accessed. Please let me what I should do. Thank you

When I open Firefox in a new tab, I would like to have it open to a page of my choice. Right now, it seems there is no way to change that, but previous versions had this feature, and I put my computer to "google.com" for example, so I could be ready to search, whenever I pressed "command-T" (for new tab.) Are we stuck on Yahoo, now, or whatever Firefox chooses for new tabs, or is there a way to change this?

I am on Mac OS 10.7.5. I was sourcing a map and was asked to download an application to access it. Now when I open a new web page, that provider's search page opens up instead of my home page (still unaffected) or the Firefox "favourite links" page. Clicking "Open new web pages with my home page" in Firefox preferences does not change this.

I have windows XP and my processor is less than pentium 4. Am currently running regular firefox 48.0.2. I am notified it is no longer supported. I never heard before about migrating to ESR. Mozilla.org says: These users should migrate to ESR 52. Is that possible for me? How do I do that? But will security updates end after September 2017?

I am considering uninstalling Firefox and never use it again. This is because there's an annoying feature with your browser that no other browser does. Your adress-bar keeps a record of every website I have ever visited with your browser and there is no tool to clean it with. You should ofcourse include the adress-bar history when cleaning Firefox history. You should include a tool for this in future versions of Firefox. If you don't then at least I will stop using it.

On Safari and Chrome if I want to update the weather page or any other page, I go to 'view' and drop down to 'Reload' and that does the trick, but Firefox doesn't appear to have this facility, or if you have it's well hidden. Can you help please?
