When I want to search something I usually open a new tab (Ctr+T) then quickly hit Tab so my typing indicator goes from the Address Bar to the Search Bar, but with a recent update there is now a "Search Selection" part that is in the way so I have to hit Tab twice.

I know this seems petty but I have been the simplest happiest minimalist user for the past 25 years and I've never had issues with Ctr+T followed by Tab to search something. Why did you implement a change that I am sure nobody has ever asked? Please revert it back or explain to my fatigued mind how to do it if it is possible.

tried it. says "get started", clicked and logged in, says login successful and vpn extension opens, but it still says "get started" and takes me to the signin page again

On my other machines I have Firefox with Perplexity as my Chatbot in the sidebar. Why is it no longer listed? (Anthropic, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Mistral only).

Can you help me with as I have a subscription with them and don't want to use their browser Comet as an alternative or simply their browser interface if possible.

I had an ongoing problem with Firefox on my PC - it worked correctly on my laptop. So I backed up my bookmarks using MozBackup and re-installed Firefox. This didn't have the Bookmarks bar so I enabled that. When I now try to restore the bookmarks using MozBackup it reports everything ok. But when I open Firefox the bookmarks are not there. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

On last Firefox update my Password manager was blanked out. I had no username/passwords in my Password Manager although I had previously had over 100. I managed to recover it by logging in to my Mozilla account but now have access to over 7000 of other peoples usernames and passwords on my password manager. You seem to have a major data breech or is this a quirk I don't understand? These other names/passwords show up when I try to log into certain sites, such as Schwab for example, and I have to pick mine out of a host of others to fill in the login info. What is going on?

I am trying to activate the new free VPN feature, however your steps are not matching what's on my screen.

The first step from your [Set up VPN] article says:

"Look for the VPN setup prompt in the top-right corner of your Firefox toolbar.

   Click Next to begin the setup process. "

Yet I am not receiving this prompt.

I have logged into my account, encountered issues with my authenticator app and back up keys not being saved, and so signed up with a new mozilla account using my secondary google email. (This account I am raising this ticket with now. My primary account/email is [edited email from public] @gmail.com).

Hoping you can clarify or give an easy route into activating this wonderful new service you've announced. Am I right in understanding that it is different (ie. built-in and free?) to your Paid Service ?

Hello, I'm using Firefox 149.0.0 (current is 149.0.2) in France and started testing Mozilla VPN. According to the docs, Location should appear at the bottom of the VPN UI and you should be able to change this Location, what I'm interested in.

I have 'Paramètres' (Settings) instead of the Location/Country.

Is this specific to France ?

Ever since 149.02 update Firefox has been unable to download any images automatically. They are always 'canceled'. I have to manually click RETRY button for it to work.

I have been through a ton of possibilities with Gemini, none of which worked. Apart form totally reset Firefox, which I refuse to do because WTF !

Gemini gave up and suggested I post something on here. I'll just switch to Brave until 149.03 fixes it.

I installed update 149 and since then, the VPN (NORDVPN) often will not start up and I have to restart the computer. If this cannot be fixed, I would like to go back to the previous version which gave me no trouble. thanks Brian
