When trying to click on links inside PDFs, the url is changed to undefined, producing an error message. For example, a Hostgator article is converted from https://hostgator.com/help/article/how-do-i-change-my-dns-or-name-servers to https://undefined/help/article/how-do-i-change-my-dns-or-name-servers
I have tried clearing the cache, troubleshooting, and get the same result in safe mode, and reverting back to Firefox default settings. And I still get the same result. I've attached an image of the error message.

Hello everyone. Since installing Linux Mint in May 2023 I have been having this issue with Firefox.
Description of issue: When I switch between (or drag) tabs in a Firefox window, the whole window becomes unresponsive, with the last tab I was switching from still in front. Often the contents of the window start to flash (disappear and reappear, leaving a black backgground) every 2 seconds. I can drag the window around, scroll, minimize it, but it is impossible to give any input in any tab. The only action somewhat possible to do inside the window is bring other tabs in front, it is still quite hard for the input to register, and if it does, it takes 10+ seconds. The issue goes away if I close the specific Firefox window, or if I manage to select and drag one tab out of the frozen window into its own new window. Then everything works as intended, like nothing ever happened.
I can reliably cause the freeze-up in a short time by holding CTRL+TAB and drag one tab to change the order while firefox cycles through the tabs in the open window.
While the window is frozen, the rest of the desktop is responsive as normal, even other Firefox windows. If I try to interact with the frozen window I can rarely see spikes of CPU usage. RAM stays at normal usage levels, far from being full.
What I have tried so far that has had no effect on the appearance of the issue:
1) Disabling all extensions i have
2) Run in troubleshooting mode
2) "Create a new places database" as suggested [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-hangs-or-not-responding#w_fi...]
3) Disabled hardware acceleration
4) Creaing a new firefox user profile
5) Use "Refresh Firefox" from the troubleshooting page
6) Use the Flatpak version of firefox
7) Reinstall firefox
Here is my system information

I'm using a new PC with Windows 11 and find that I, inadvertently close Firefox with 16-20 open tabs. Most of the time when I reopen FF, the tabs are still there, as expected. Sometimes, the browser opens with just a new home page and the pinned and other tabs have closed. I can sometimes see the 16ish tabs in history and reopen them. More recently, I find that they are not in history as a number of tabs so I have to set them up again. This rarely happened on my old PC and if it did I would have bookmarked a group of open tabs that I used regularly.
The failsafe FF General setting is as follows: Startup, Open previous windows and tabs.
I don't know how I can stop losing my open Tabs but if I was able to bookmark all the open tabs to be used in case of a problem I would feel more secure.
How do I bookmark ALL or several my open tabs?

My ISP had provided the IPv6 service, edge/chrome/vivaldi are all IPv6 first and working well. Only firefox insists use IPv4, although it could also pass the IPv6 test on https://test-ipv6.com, and the internal test on https://detectportal.firefox.com/success.txt?ipv6 It leads to some webpage extremely slow, even could not be accessed.
I've tried privacy mode, but the problem is still there. IPv6 in about:config is enabled, all related options are default. Is this a bug, or if there is any way could fix it by some special settings?
Waiting for your help, thanks.

Everytime I go to play games on my laptop I close Firefox for the extra resources and when I'm done I open it right back up, I have done this for YEARS but this time it didn't restore my session. I thought it would be as easy as the last time where I'd go click the Restore Session button but it isn't there so I spend two hours looking for solutions and found nothing. I don't know how this happened nor do I understand how this could happen in the first place, my Firefox hasn't crashed in months and I had already closed and re-opened it several time today.

I have Firefox set to ask me where to download files that I want to download. It works for normal download links, but when I'm using my credit card company site's PDF viewer to look at a statement and I click on the download icon or link in the upper-left, it simply downloads the PDF (to my chosen "Save files to" folder in Settings). Is there a current way to change this behavior? Is this something that the website's code determines, overriding my Firefox setting?

Outlook displays the "To:" and "Add a subject" labels in black/grey text, but the rest of the "New Mail" window is white. There are no visible border lines between the "To" line and the "Subject" line. And no visible border between Subject and the email body.
The side-effect is an elderly person writes their entire email into the subject line field because it is not obvious where the email body starts.
I've seen this behavior on 2 different computers running the same (latest 120.0.1) Firefox. Odd thing is that I DO see borders when I run Outlook.com on my work laptop (same Firefox version). What config settings might control behavior like this?
I captured screenshots of the desired display of borders on my laptop. Tried .jpg, .png and .bmp. All of the files showed the borders between To, Subject and email body. But when those files are transferred to the PC I am on, the borders no longer display. Bizarre. I uploaded/download the files using Onedrive to ensure that the corporate email server was not touching the files. Even then the borders that exist in the files on the laptop do not display when those same files are viewed on my home PC.

I have noticed a bug with how the Firefox icon appears when launched in the Windows 11 taskbar when the never group option is enabled. When Firefox is launched and is the only application open in the taskbar, there is no label present next to the icon like other programs have when launched. There is the little line underneath the icon though indicating it is launched but that is it. As soon as I open another application though, the label will also appear for Firefox. This is only a minor annoyance but is definitely as bug at least for me and should be pretty easy to fix. I will attach screenshots of the behavior. In the first screenshot, you can see that Firefox is open but has no Text label like it is supposed to. The second screenshot is as soon as I open a second application.

Foxnews.com causes Firefox 102.0.1 to freeze when scrolling pages with lots of images. Closing and restarting FF does not help. The freeze reoccurs. What does help for awhile is to delete the file places.sqlite. After that FF runs for a few hours until the problem happens again. Is there a setting or other fix for this issue?
AdBlockPlus and uBlock Origin are both installed, but are disabled on www.foxnews.com.
Any way to confirm before automatic redirects?

How can I block the dropdown video miniplayer in Firefox 120.0.1 on Windows 11? It doesn't happen in MS Edge.
I've already set the following with no results:
media.autoplay.default = 5 media.autoplay.blocking_policy = 2 media.autoplay.allow-extension-background-pages = false media.autoplay.block-event.enabled = true media.block-autoplay-until-in-foreground = false
Is there a setting that I've missed? Can the miniplayer somehow be blocked using userContent.css? Can the miniplayer be totally removed from Firefox?

New computer, Win 11 and FF 120.0.1 all fresh installed and updated with latest versions. The double line spacing in bookmarks and all other menus is back. There was a fix for ver. 89 with the css file trick, but that DOES NOT WORK with this version. All other options I've run across don't work either. Why do the Mozilla software engineers think it's a good idea to break their flagship application every few years? Rhetorical question, I know.
Does anyone have a user fix that actually works with this FF 120.0.1 version? Something an experienced user can do that is not a programmer. analyst or engineer? I've been using FF since it first came out to challenge Microsoft's IE. Late '90s? I'd like to keep using it but this is too annoying to tolerate.
If anyone can help with step by step instructions, I would be eternally grateful.

As of recently, every time I try to watch someone on Twitch, where the video feed would normally be is the streamer's offline banner image. Chat is working fine, and is active despite the stream not being displayed on my end. If I check the Twitch mobile app the stream displays as normal, so I know they are currently streaming. I tried disabling all of my add-ons and restarting the browser to no avail. I am a noob, so please be patient with me. I have attached images of an example, but this happens with any live channel, not just ones I am following (I do not have any active subscriptions as far as I know).

I've made sure Firefox is up to date 5. I've tried modifying security.tls.enable_0rtt_data to both True and False and reset firefox after each attempt. 6. I am able to get to google using any other browser but Firefox is having issues. 7. I am able to ping google and google dns from cmd. 8. I've tried clearing local dns cache and trying again but no luck. 9. I've uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled, still no luck. I cannot use google.com or use services like Crunchyroll that use google to login.

Rather strange, since I'm using Firefox.
In general, I am thoroughly annoyed with the way the Internet experience is increasingly fouled up by various sites implementing "safety" aspects. It used to be fun, now its a crap experience. Firefox is getting bigger, slower, and infested with site 'improvements' which do absolutely nothing for me - Is it so hard to provide a simple, clean, straightforward browser without so many 'add-ons' that its grinding to a halt? Time was software was written for the users, now its clearly written to give software developers something to do. Can't you create a revolution in software and do something useful, instead of "clever"?
