The default font for a lot of websites has changed and will not accept the settings to change back.

Default font is Times New Roman - size 12. Advanced setting "allow websites to override font" is deselected (disallow)

NOTE: when I was stupid enough to trust Mozilla developers and hit "restart to install" instead of actually shutting down and restarting myself, ONE tab in ONE window had been zoomed in. Now it appears that that zoom has been adopted as default, overriding whatever I put in settings.

That. Is. Beyond. Stupid.

The fact that the default font settings don't apply as default is also not the greatest...

It turns out the copied logins-backupjson file i had pasted on my desktop screen was already overwritten by an added or removed login, thus writing over when it did have the saved login removed that i was trying to recover

is there any other way to recover the removed login?

i saw this response by Cor-el for another user with a similar situation

If you still have the signons.sqlite that was used in a previous Firefox version then you can try to restore passwords saved in that file.

Firefox 32 and later builds store the passwords in the logins.json file in the profile folder and no longer use the signons.sqlite file that has been used before (the matching key3.db file is still needed). If you still have the signons.sqlite file used in previous Firefox versions then you can try to force Firefox to migrate the passwords saved in that file (you will lose passwords saved in Firefox 32+ versions). You can force Firefox to reimport the passwords from the signons.sqlite file and rebuild the logins.json file with these steps:

reset the signon.importedFromSqlite pref on the about:config page to the default value via the right-click context menu
delete the logins.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed

When you restart Firefox then you should have the signon.importedFromSqlite pref with the value set to true and you should have the passwords imported in the Password Manager unless there may have been errors.

Hello there.

A few months ago, after a Windows 10 update, both the commom edition of Firefox and the Developer edition stopped working. When opening the browsers, absolutely nothing happened. After trying several tips I decided to reinstall the browsers. I lost all my pinned pages that I use for work, but at least I was able to use the browsers again.

Last night I updated Windows 10 again, and once again both versions of Firefox stopped opening. In hopes of not losing my pinned pages (again), I resorted to all those tips that didn't work in the past, and as expected they didn't work today either. So I accepted that I would lose all pinned pages and reinstalled Firefox, but this time even that didn't work.

- When I try to open Firefox, no process is created. - I've already tried opening the browser as an administrator, in save mode, and the profile manager, but it still doesn't open. - I can't disable any add-ons, because Firefox won't open. I can't access the "about:support" page because Firefox won't open. I can't run Troubleshoot Mode because Firefox won't open. I can't turn off Hardware Acceleration, because Firefox won't open. (It's amazing how many "solutions" exist that involve opening Firefox, when the problem is precisely the fact that Firefox doesn't open.) - I've never used Comodo, ZoneAlarm, AVG, or AVAST.

In short, I don't know what else to do. I've tried every solution I could find up to the third page of Google (with the exception of solutions that involve opening Firefox, for reasons that should be obvious, but apparently aren't), and still both Firefox and Firefox Developer Edition don't open.

Does anyone happen to have any ideas on how to fix this problem (that doesn't involve opening Firefox please, I can't read these anymore)?

Hi there, I've noticed some minor but annoying problem with browser vertical maximization.

When I vertically maximize browser by dragging upper form line to the top of the screen, upper and lower side of browser form are snapped to top and bottom of my screen. If I close browser in that (maximized) state, next time when I open it, whole browser form isn't snapped top and bottom anymore. It is slightly moved up. It would be great if this can be fixed soon. Like I said before... it's not big deal but it is little bit annoying and degrading whole user experience with browser.

I am using latest Firefox and Windows 11 Pro. 2K monitor resolution 2560 x 1440px

Thanks in advance

Immediately following a Firefox update I began having scrolling problems on my Facebook page. I am able to scroll down normally to a point, and then, all of a sudden, the scroll bar will go up and immediately go back down without me touching the mouse. It will continue doing the up and down scrolling indefinitely and at a high rate of speed. I have tried turning off auto scroll and smooth scrolling at the browser, but no luck. I have Windows 8.1. I have never heard of anyone else having this problem so this seemed like my only option.

Every day when I come back to my mac and firefox is open, it will not respond to any new web address. I can put in any web site and it resolves the full page name, but does not open any site. I have to close firefox completely, which is a pain when I have multiple pages open. It does not matter if I have one or tabs in use, I am forced to close out of firefox completely in order for it to work again. This has been going on for years for me with firefox through multiple versions, multiple MacOS, and multiple Mac systems.

Windows 8.1 would not load last Wednesday, so I "refreshed" it using F10; which stated all files and apps would be retained (what a lie.) Most apps were disabled, or removed, and needed to be re-loaded, as well as about 200 updates which needed to be downloaded, and still being downloaded. When re-loading Firefox my previous bookmarks were not retained, although I think may have located them via a Microsoft remedy (Firefox remedies have been fruitless.) They are not not the old Firefox folder (my most recent entry was 2019,) and not in the places Firefox has suggested looking. I will backup my current 5 days worth of bookmarks, when all of the downloads are current, and try to download the Microsoft suggestion. My question is; why are they NOT automatically saved? And if somebody has a remedy for me please send it as I will not do anything with my bookmarks for a few days.
