2 weeks ago I visited a git hub page to try to find a solution to my Logitech keyboard problem.

Then all of a sudden I noticed that on start up, this webpage kept automatically opening. Needless to say, I have disabled open on start. I have cleared cache data, refreshed the browser and uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing gets rid of this opening webpage.

Why? Even when the browser is uninstalled, something keeps attempting to execute the command / process to open this webpage. How can I kill it? I did download only an afk file, surely it wasn't a virus? This is just a random person from Israel who posted about a keyboard. Surely I am not hacked? Please help me kill this random problem.

Hello, I need help to know how to limit the shortcuts of the visited sites to those that I use ordinarily and not to all and also how to ensure that the dark mode remains and I do not have to correct it every time I open the browser. This morning, my Firefox browser was unable to open so I downloaded it again and tried to sync up my browser using my email address. When I used my email address and reset the password, a much older version of my browser without all my bookmarks logged in. I've only use the *hidden for privacy*@gmail.com email address so I'm not sure if I have two profiles under that email. On my phone which has been sync'd to my profile for years, I have all the bookmarks that I've been using for year. I don't want to sync it now so I don't loose it.

Something is not working for my syncing data for my new computer coming from my older one that was working fine....none of those bookmarks are around, no matter where I look, I cannot find all of my highly needed bookmarks that I have had for years...all gone. I need some help please. Thanks.

Hey I registered for sync Mozilla. After each lunch I have message windows pass code...Its really irritating me. How to leave passcode (becouse I want to protecs my passcodes manager settings ) and have turned on passcode windows just when I need pass code manager. Please fix it at next updates

When I left-click on text and hold the left mouse button, then right-click, first release the right button, then the left button, a "selection mode" is activated, where the end of the selection follows the mouse pointer despite no button is held. In principle this looks like a useful feature (or it would if the scroll wheel worked in that mode, which it doesn't). But at the same time, the context menu opens when the right button is released. So we trigger two features at once, making both less useful, because they're getting in each other's way.

This frequently happens to me when double clicking on a word and right clicking to open the context menu on it. Accidental overlap of the left and right clicks triggers the selection mode.

Can this behaviour be configured (e.g. to use a custom shortcut) or, if not, be deactivated entirely?

I'm using Firefox 123.0.1 on Linux (openSUSE Tumbleweed).

Hi, When I use a shortcut for a bookmark (e.g., typing "yt" to activate my youtube search bookmark with URL set to "https://www.youtube . com/results?search_query=%s" and shortcut set to "yt") it opens in a new tab. I am in the habit of making a new tab before using a shortcut to search using a bookmark. How can I change the shortcut bookmark behavior to open in the same tab where i typed the query into the URL bar?

I have cleared cookies, cache, temp files, updated, no translation settings are enabled. repaired and even removed and installed Firefox again. When I click on my Google mail quick button or even just type the URL in to get to my mail. The language displayed appears to be Chinese? The URL for the site shows "zh-cn" I'm in the US, no VPN, no proxy.

Additional troubleshooting:

Tested with Chrome and it appears to be working fine.

I have Weather Network among my regularly used bookmarks at the top of my screen, but this is the only site that causes a video crash. If I click on Weather Network, I get to the main page and usually a video will start to play as I scroll down. If I scroll past the video, it changes to PIP in the bottom right corner. Once I close Firefox, my mouse cursor freezes for a moment and then all 4 screens go blank. They try to come back on, but usually just flash and I only see a portion of what I should see for a brief moment before it goes blank again and continues this cycle. I try to use Task Manager, but I only get the Task Manager dialogue box with no text, just the window with a coloured background. If any thing does finally come up, I usually restart Windows Explorer and all of my problems go away, but most of the time I have to to a full restart of the PC. I did manage to get video of the crash on my phone.

Latest version of Firefox keeps making changes to hard drive when opened. Repair suggestions suggest changing settings not on my computer settings screen. No help!! very frustrating mess.

When Firefox first runs, it works properly. All menus appear properly. At some point after use, a hour or so, all the menus stop appearing. The main menus, right click context menus, hamburger menu, all stop showing up. Even the pull-down menu on this website for "Which topic best describes your question" fails to appear, though I can select an answer by clicking on it and using he down arrow.

Hardware acceleration does not affect it. The problem occurs whether it is on or off. Nothing fixes it except shutting down and restarting Firefox, and that is only a temporary measure, as it inevitably happens again after some use. z

Updating graphics drivers does not fix it. It has been happening over the last three sets of Nvidia driver updates.

Sometimes the menus temporarily return, but soon go away again. They are gone far longer than their short returns.

As third parties cookies will going to be blocked and Google is migrating their identity services to fedcm but currently fedcm is not supported by Mozilla so what will be the solution for one tap sign in using google on Mozilla?

I was having trouble getting into my Ancestry account. I called their support and they said it was my browse not connecting with them. I can access if I use Edge, but I don't like that format and would much more prefer Firefox. Is there a problem, or were they just brushing me off? How can I get into Ancestry using Firefox again? Can you please advise.
