When I go to the General tab, the dropdown option for "When Firefox Starts" is greyed out, so that I can't change from 'Show my homepage' to 'Open last tabs'.

Also I can't change my default homepage.. clicking on use current pages/use bookmark/restore default buttons does nothing. (The homepage is currently set to my organisation's homepage, so possibly there is some over-ride setting, but I tried the Refresh Firefox which I found in one of the help articles.)

Firefox browser 50.1.0. I have the latest Flash Player version (24.0 r0). In Flash control panel (access via IE/Edge), I have set to not use Hardware acceleration. In Flash options (F/Fox), I have disabled Protected Mode. In F/Fox, I have disabled "Use hardware acceleration when available". I have an NVIDIA GTX 970 graphics card, using the latest drivers (376.33). I've uninstalled & re-installed the graphics drivers. Windows 10 (64-bit) Professional - new installation (only a couple of weeks old).

Yet... every time I attempt to access a site, any site, that uses Flash, the player crashes before displaying any video at all. When visiting the same sites in IE or Edge - all works fine. Any clues?

Not able to set "ask" on google talk plug-in when going to google hangouts. The webpage says to click "allow" at top of browser, but there is no popup asking to allow. Need this to fix, I won't leave google talk active all the time.... Pain in ass to reset every time I need to make a phone call. Not sure if browser, or if google messing around.

basically i am tired of clicking every links on r/videos.. i think it's 2017 there should be on add on that supports every firefox based browser and does this job

It has come to my attention that Beyond Australis by Quicksaver will die next November with Firefox 57! This is the only add-on that I have in my Must have list and I refuse to continue to use FireFox without Beyond Australis and its "Slim Chrome" features. If this is allowed to happen I will no longer use Firefox on my PC or iOS device or my Android Phone.

Taking https://blog.mozilla.org/addons/2016/11/23/add-ons-in-2017/ as a representative sample of Firefox's community of users we can see 100% of negative reaction to the decision of deprecating XUL. So: is Mozilla reverting that decision? If not, why the hell not?

Also, none of those comments was answered by Mozilla, which is also a bit disrespectful, I think. Am I wrong here? Feedback seems to work one way only and not for the users' sake... :(

I installed the Facebook video downloader so that I can share FB videos with non-FB users. After installation, It tells me a 4th option will appear at bottom of each video to download the video. This button still does not appear even after restarting computer and quitting FB and opening again. Why is this NOT working???? Thank you.

I'm running on Windows 7. Up till a few days ago my video downloader from ant.com has been downloading videos from Youtube, Facebook and the internet about 90% of the time. Some videos would not show that a video was running. After I installed your last update, three or four days ago, the videos stopped downloading altogether. I didn't realize that all were doing it at first until nothing was downloaded. Can you help? TIA. BILL

In enterprise environment, i need to completely remove all search engine and make my ones. In FF43, i just put the xml files in the /usr/lib/firefox/distribution/searchplugins/locale/fr directory. It doesn't work with Firefox 51.x

I need so deactivate restore default search engine.

I got the addon and not only did it *not* get rid of the zoom level indication, but it changes the look more than I'd like.

It seems this should be an easy "have" or "have not" option, with the default being "have not." You can add it on if you want it.

I've done everything everyone has suggested in the forums. I even reset Firefox back to default at the risk of losing all my bookmarks. The bookmarks are still there, I can see them in the "Bookmarks" pull-down menu. But the bar itself is gone. Everywhere where one would turn it on or off, it shows as checked on, but it isn't. I've checked it back off, restarted, checked it back on, restarted, nothing. Any light on the matter will be greatly appreciated.

I want to remove this in my add-ons: "Shockwave Flash is known to be vulnerable and should be updated. Update Now." "Shockwave Flash 15.0.r0" When I click update, FIrefox has blocked it: "Flash Player Plugin 14.0 to 15.0.0.242 (click-to-play) has been blocked for your protection." But I want to remove it completely - I have a 2. Shockwave Flash add-on that is an updated version.

I removed Firefox from my PC, restarted, reinstalled Firefox, but STILL, there is the SAME VULNERABLE SHOCKWAVE FLASH in the add-ons - how can this be??

Why is my old add-ons and preferences here after I have removed and reinstalled Firefox?? Why does FIrefox keep my info? How do I remove this old add-on? Or do I have to start using another browser in stead of Firefox?

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am a starter with Firefox. I have got a training by Fox-IT Delft the Netherlands. But. I have troubles; I cannot find a manual about about add-on "Scrapbook". Under "Tools"in de column left you get "Import/Export". Then you can managing the "sites"; store them on a correct way. My question can you give ma an explanation how manage it. I would be very grateful for this.
