I'm not exactly clueless, but I'm not an engineer. For some reason, I had three open Firefox/Mozilla browsers open on the taskbar but connected to one icon. Today, I've lost the browser with all of my frequently used sites, and tons of research, family, friends, World War II, finances, etc. The other two browsers had one tab, and maybe ten-fifteen tabs, respectively.

How do I restore the main browser?

FF 145.0.2 (64 bit) canonical-002 - 1.0 running on Kubuntu 25.10 has suddenly started locking up completely after a minute or so with an "unresponsive". As I have just put in the crash reporter: "I haven't had problems with FF before but just possible that this relates to my growing problems with Thunderbird see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1551791. I putting a question in Mozill Support about trying to keep my tabs and perhaps groups before doing a complete reinstall." So my questions here are:

• I am planning to to a complete clean reinstallation from snap but is there a better (more stable) installation?
• either snap specific or generically: is there a way I can find the open tab list from the debris of this snap installation (and perhaps the groups but that's less important)?

After running a CCleaner health check on my computer I have lost all access to my bookmarks and the Fire Fox home page does not display my most visited websites as icons.

New computer upgrade from MS10 to MS 11 365. I lost all bookmarks for internet locations. How do I retrieve them? Where is the new bookmark access icon on the Firefox home screen?

All of my bookmarks have been erased. It says the file is being used by another application. I have looked at the help section but the options they give does work.

I've followed the directions I've found in looking for answers to this, and they haven't worked. My bookmarks haven't appeared when I switched between 2 profiles and nothing has appeared when I went to the Library and tried the various restoration options. I also can't bookmark any webpages since I've lost my bookmarks. I'm using this in Windows 11. Ccleaner found 19 GB of system files that it didn't name, and it wouldn't delete them, so the bookmarks may still be there - I just don't know how to find them. Thanks for your help.

I was just on a tech help support call and the tech person rebooted my firefox and lost my access to my most recent browsing history. Is there a way that I can still restore the lost history? It is not showing up in the History section anymore.

The new version of Firefox has been uploaded to my desktop withoiut any notification or communication to me. I have now lost all shortcuts and other data stored on my original Firefox, indeed, I have been taken back to the original as if I am a new user. I have used Firefox for many years. How do I retrieve all of the lost data from my old version? I am not a techie so please advise in simple step by step measures. Thank you. Regards Martin Forge

I've been using Firefox for decades without any problems. Still on Windows 10. The last update 'made' my bookmarks 'disappear'. I can see all the backups, but somehow they can't be reloaded. Worse, can't even reload my own earlier backup (HTML format). I've tried all available tricks to no avail.

I lost all my IT hardware and and just have my mobile phone. Now I am at a internetcafe. Where can I find my safed firefox bookmarks without installing firefox browser ?

I just used CCleaner health check and when done all my bookmarks were gone. I've had CCleaner for years and never had this happen before (laptop). The troubleshooting list was unclear and did not correct the problem.

mozilla keeps closing out.When it does I lose all passwords and bookmarks.I'm not even home when this happens.This started when I bought a new computer which has windows 11.Old one had 10.When some bookmarks come back they are old one or the don't work

When Firefox is updating itself, it can create different profiles and so lose all bookmarks, passwords, logins and everything . And I have to start doing many things again, but can't return the pins I have kept or open tabs in other windows , and this cause me a lot already

I have 2 questions that I want answers for : 1 - Why you give a solution for this matter on your site ( https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-user-data-missing-after-firefox-update ) , and not solving this matter in the first place?

2- Are you going to fix this matter and when ?
