   I need to sync my firefox data from my old windows 10 laptop to my new windows 11 laptop. Do I have to download the firefox app on to my new laptop before I can sync it, and will I need a new password if I have to download the app. Im using my old password on my old laptop to write this. On the new laptop, I  tried to sign into firefox on the internet but, it said my password is wrong. I'm an oldie and have no idear what to do. Iwill be very grateful for any help. Many Thanks,

Hi, I noticed that my Firefox version has just been force-updated, on two of my computers, even though I had the automated updates unselected. I also noticed that the new version had added an opt-out option to use "AI" for my tabs which I do not want. There may be other settings that have appeared like this forcing "AI" on me and I am not going to check all of them. I will uninstall Firefox as it is no longer respecting my privacy and autonomy as a user, following the full-blown embrace of "genAI" which goes completely opposite Firefox values such as privacy, ethics, environmental responsibility and respect of their users. I might come back when Firefox goes back to being a privacy and environmentally-friendly browser.

A website that I have used for years to track my wine cellar invenory has ceased functioning for me. The Web Designer tells me that the problem is a network issue and not his problem. I get no solutions from my ISP.

When I attempt to load the page and look at the Console I get the following error message in response to several GET requests:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://cdn.ct-static.com/dist/js/ct.min.1530c2da96.js.

A web search tells me that this policy is a browser safety net. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

When I access a specific website the .css files hosted at http://cdn.ct-static.com/ don't load. The Network Tool console indicates that they time out. I have been told this is usually a network setup issue however if I use the MS edge browser the site loads. How do I troubleshoot this?

Firefox is working but my home page yahoo.com is not displaying. I can open other tabs at will and they work fine. Malware bytes has quarantined the mozilla .exe file and they say this is due to a problem with a firefox update. Do you have a fix for this? My laptop is running Windows 11. I signed onto my parents computer that was assigned to a school district and now everytime I open firefox on any of my devices their website keeps popping up. I've signed out of their computer and have tried deleting and reopening my account, and nothing seems to work.

So out of nowhere, I can't use the back button, or delete pages by clicking the 'x. I can't even click on the settings icon, or any icon on the menu bar. When I hover over any web page title, it shows a small window of it, but I can't get rid of it. I didn't change anything, so what's going on?

Just yesterday I had everything working fine, and today out of nowhere any time I close my browser trough X it resets back to default page and all my pinned browsers or unpinned just disappear.. It works with exiting trought shortcut or meniu, but it little annoying, I tried solutions provided in the treads but is there no way to revert back to just using X for exiting and have your previously closed tabs saved and restored upon opening app again?

There was no updates installed or any other changes made to my pc today. So it is very strange why out of the blue its like this right now.

I tried: 1. Troubleshoot mode (did not work) 2.I tried exiting trought shortcut/meniu exit (worked but not prefered solution as it will be very easly forgotten for split second and all tabs open will reset) 3. Tried unchecking reseting firefox and checking the box again (did not work)

Lost at this stage as I really loved using Firefox.

I have used Directv for 30 years. My password has suddenly become unusable. I can say I forgot the password and change it and it is accepted, but when I try to sign on, it still says something went wrong. I changed it a total of 2 additional times with the same results. Then I gave up and went over to Edge where it worked fine. Has anyone else had a problem line this.

your recent upgrade removed my side panel search bookmarks except those that have icons ( icons only)! No description of icon. Those that don't have icons have links but can't read with out hovering for seconds. Impossible to find links quickly!

Yes, I'd like to use the same account on both of my profiles.

I understand that for some users, this may be confusing.

In my case, the only reason for different profiles is that I need to use a Proxy Server for some websites, and no proxy for other websites. Manually switching proxy settings is painful, and doing so causes traffic for my other tabs/windows to go to the proxy, which I do not want.

I have a main (set of) windows (and its tabs) going straight to the internet, then I have a separate window (and its tabs) configured to go through a proxy (SOCKS5 in this case). I want all other settings, bookmarks, passwords, etc. to be identical to both. I end up having to logout of my main profile, log into the other profile to sync settings, log out of there, and log back into my main profile.

Is there a valid technical reason why an account on the same FireFox installation cannot be shared between two profiles?

I can do this on multiple computers (same account, different computers/profile), seems odd it is restricted to not allow on the same computer.

I have an alternative solution: Install FireFox natively, then install FireFox as AUR or FlatPak, but not sure this will collide as this both uses the same profile directory. Hum...
