The browser only navigates to some pages.

Having a look at the request it shows a grey circle and no response at all so I presume it never sends the request.

http://www.google.co.uk 302 -> https://www.google.co.uk https://www.google.co.uk no response https://en.wikipedia.org no response https://www.amazon.co.uk works normally https://www.facebook.com works normally

so it doesn't seem to be related to SSL.

I have tried incognito and different profiles and it makes no difference.

I have not updated Firefox for a month but I updated the following packages yesterday so it might be related:

dev-util/ctags-5.8
app-shells/bash-completion-2.4-r1
dev-libs/nss-3.28.1

We keep on getting an error " shock wave plugin stopped responding" error when printing pdfs from Firefox ESR 45.6 (latest ESR) However we do not get the same error when we are using Firefox 50.1.0 (latest release). The version of shock wave plugin is v24.0 r0.

Could you please help debug this issue. Also can someone please advise if 45.6 is equivalent (contains the same fixes/enhancements ) to 50.1.0?

I have FF ESR 45.6 @ Win7 running flawlessly with two legacy commercial addons installed. I do need these unsigned addons as there are no alternative software.

On the new Win10 PC and exactly same Firefox ESR 45.6 these addons show compatibility errors while installing. I have disabled signed checks and forced nightly.disableCheckCompatibility=true. No luck. Then I have copied complete profile from Win7 FF installation. Now addons do appear in about:addons. Their state is disabled with no "Enable" button.

Any ideas?

(Win7 = Enterprise x64; Win10 = enterprise_2016_ltsb_n_x64_9057894)

Using standard HTML5 coding in a very simplistic manner the top and bottom of the player do not align with the poster image. If I use CSS to control the player size, or the poster size the top and bottom align, but the right and left edges warp out of square shape.

The simple code:

    <br>
     <video controls poster="PCYC.png" width="500" >
	  <source src="JazzClubVideo-4.mp4" type="video/mp4">
	  Your browser does not support the video tag.
</video>
    <br>

See attached image for an example.

I'm using Debian 8; The Debian folk worked out their licensing issues with the Mozilla folk, and so my default browser was updated from Debian's Firefox-based browser to Firefox-ESR (Extended-Support Release). Iceweasel never had these flashing colored bars, and I find them very distracting. The colors change with user activity.

Firefox jumps to the bottom of a web page even when add-ons are disabled

URL: http://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Conditions/HighBloodPressure/AboutHighBloodPressure/Low-Blood-Pressure_UCM_301785_Article.jsp#.WIYe-Pi7qUl

always happens, tried starting firefox (x64) in safemode and still it jumps to the bottom, and then scrolls up just a tad. Its happened a few other places, which I didn't take time to notate and don't have URL's for.

I did also try taking off the #.WIYe... whatever at the end of the URL as if it was supposed to be a bookmark(?) but going to the URL without it, puts it right back.

Saying bookmark and noting its a JSP makes me suspicious its some java foofoo that's causing this or some hijack but if that's the case (hijack) why only some JSP pages?

Screenshot attached, note the visible scroll bar on the right side .. it went all the way to the bottom, and then either it jumped back up a tad, or the browser had hit the bottom, and then some other content came in that was at the new "bottom" of the page relative to time of data coming in.

Total load time was less than 2 seconds.

Note: allowed the TS info field & OS info, let me know if it doesn't appear for you. (both nice ways to auto-get system info stuff that testers/helpers need)

I am getting mad with this issue especially because it is quite a few months now ... . I have made a refresh of the whole firefox and afterwards I have tested each of the extensions installed to see if I could identify the cause (if any). I would rule out Adguard, Gmail notifier, noscript, profile switcher, Video Download Helper because I have no problem with them installed. As for the others (PrintEdit, Pin It, Show Parent Folder) I cannot be 100% sure because each of them, together with the previous one, was associated with a crash after opening gmail.

Problem description. Whenever I open the gmail page (either as a standalone page or in presence of 3 FF windows each with 8 tabs opened) the app crashes after some time (10" to 5', either leaving it opened or surfing through the messages). This problem started abruptly the last spring when I was still using the "official" firefox (now I am using firefox ESR because it is the only firefox still supported for my OSX 10.6.8).

Is there anyone I could submit my crash reports in order to have a feedback of what's going on?

Using Firefox ESR 45.6.0. Within the last couple of weeks I have had an issue where Firefox crashes frequently while viewing Yahoo pages. A handful of others at work have reported the same issue.

Had a crash this morning in Yahoo and was able to get the URL. Reopened Yahoo so no other tabs open and entered this URL: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ronda-rouseys-fighting-future-depends-on-making-a-big-change-222024690.html and within a minute each time I try it, Firefox crashes. Went to about:crashes in Firefox URL and it shows no recent crashes (last one was about 6 months ago). This page loads and is stable on IE.

Current plugins are: OpenH264 Video Codec provided by Cisco Systems, Inc. Primetime Content Decryption Module provided by Adobe Systems, Incorporated, and Shockwave Flash v24.0 r0.

Current Add-ons are: Clippings Firefox Hotfix and LastPass

Has anyone else experienced issues with Yahoo web pages? I am suspecting its an advertisement or some other item that Yahoo loads on the page since it doesn't happen with every Yahoo page - but it does happen very frequently. I can use Yahoo mail without issue and non-Yahoo pages have not crashed.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thanks! Bill

Why the difference - I have a Laptop and it gives the higher speed . Strange as the new PC could handle the higher option .
