Just recently (I believe on Oct 30) I have been encountering this problem while trying to log into the Rooster Teeth web site. I have tried clearing cookies and cache multiple times to no effect, and the help page suggestion for the workaround of clicking "Or you can add an exception..." doesn't work because that button does not appear on the warning page anymore. I am only getting this warning error when trying to log into ( http://roosterteeth.com/home.php ) and only while trying to log in, it doesn't pop up for anything else on the site or any other site that I've gone to. Any help on fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I'm running some OBIEE reports in Firefox that by nature do take a long time to run. One of my local Tech Support folks suggested increasing the Firefox Timeout setting (he showed me how to do this once, but I didn't write it down). Can you provide written instructions (or annotated screen pictures), please?

There is very common in the section of the plugins, in the AddOn menu, the message that the java plugin is vulnerable an it is to be used with caution. Now in 8.0.25 again. What does it means? Is there or will be there a solution for that? Is NoScript in this case useful, or another security option?

Thanks!

I am using Firefox version 33.0 with an Ubuntu 14.04 LTS operating system. I get a 403- Forbidden: access is denied message when trying to access my Microsoft Outlook Web App (OWA) email. When I use another computer running Firefox version 33.1.1 with a Window 7 operating system, I can access my Microsoft Outlook Web App email perfectly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my Firefox browser on the Ubuntu machine to be able to access my email on OWA?

Hi there,

I work for a video-on-demand service and as part of our FAQ's we need to instruct customers to enable Javascript & accept all 3rd part cookies on Firefox to ensure they have an optimal viewing experience.

Is anyone able to outline how to enable Javascript & cookies on Firefox version 26-33. I would install each individual version of Firefox and test for myself, however the corporate firewall prevents me from this type of testing.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers

How can I get Firefox to default to Unicode rather that Western ?

This is the same question as the unanswered, archived thread https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/989012?fpa=1

Firefox 33.0 displays mojibake+English instead of Japanese+English. It shouldn't matter whether the web page is encoded in ShiftJIS, EUC, raw JIS (though that's rare), or UTF8; all of them should be easy to autodetect.

I can go to the View menu, Character Encoding, and select Japanese, but this should not be necessary. I shouldn't have to teach it to ordinary users.

View - Character Encoding - Auto-detect is off, but even if I set that to Japanese it doesn't help. Hypothetically even if it helped Japanese it wouldn't help Greek.

If I understand correctly there used to be an option View - Character Encoding - Universal, but that option was removed? WTF???????????????????????????????

I've read a few expert opinions that I should change the web server to ... I'm not sure what I should change it to, because looking at the page again it seems that it already says Unicode ... but anyway, I don't think one of Japan's largest transportation companies will let one of their smallest personal individual customers barge in and reprogram their web server.

http://www.sagawa-sgx.com/sgx/trackeng.asp?CAT=AWB&enc=ENG&AWB=25903880-0

This part probably didn't help but shouldn't hurt too much: body{

 background-color:darkblue;
 font-family:Arial;
 font-size:12px;
 background: #ffffff;

}

This part should help, shouldn't it?: <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=unicode">

How can I set auto-detect to use information from the web page, and to turn on auto-detection for web sites that don't say?

"I just want to disable it for good". I have tried everything I know, went into the about config page and changed the browsing features to false and it still do not disable it along with other steps to try to permanently disable it and it still comes back. openSuSE 12.1 firefox 33.1

Flash doesn't load by default so I downloaded the flash plugin. I have libflashplayer.so, where do I put that file so that firefox will load it?

The '<installdir>/plugins' directory doesn't exist, so I created it and copied there. No luck. Copied into the root install directory. No luck. There's a components directory with some .so files so I copied it there and updated the manifest. Still no joy.

Where does it go?
