I have Firefox's New Tab set as my home page, since I'm choosing to divorce myself from political doomscrolling for the next four years. The New Tab page is perfect for having frequently visited sites at the top, Pocket stories I can curate in the middle, and what used to be a history of articles and sites I've read most recently in "Recent Activity" along the bottom. Within the last few days, "Recent Activity" has been blank, and will no longer keep track of articles I've recently read. I've tried clearing the browser history and cookies, and it came back for a moment, but quickly went back to being blank. And the major downside to clearing the browser is that my four rows of most frequently visited sites gets wiped clean also, and I have to spend time getting them back on the list. I do not have Firefox set to automatically clear history upon closing it. I've tried turning "Recent Activity" off and on with the page's Settings (cog in the bottom right corner). I'd really like to have this back, as it can help me find recently read content (especially Pocket content) easier than wading through the History log. Any help would be appreciated.

How do I remove the little pins that have appeared on each of my icons on the home page? I don't want to unpin them, just remove the pin image - too busy and disturbing. All my icons are pinned items.

I've pinned several websites to the Firefox icon in the taskbar by dragging the padlock icon on the left of the address bar and dropping it on the Firefox icon in the taskbar. Right click the icon to see them.

Is there any way I can edit the names to something more meaningful (see screenshot)?

Since the Firefox 135.0 update loaded during the second week of February 2025, only the first tab displays short-cut tile rows ~ but thereafter all tabs are blank now.

What is going on?

I am trying to download videos from a site that I newly subscribed to. The videos do stream perfectly. The files do not download as video files and will not open at all. When I click on the download link, there is no recognition of a download happening and when I check my files later I have an "internet" file showing with a title but without a video file extension and nothing will open. The file extension is ".html". I am following the step by step instructions from the site involved. Other sites videos are downloading as expected.

Does firefox need to be my default browser? Any suggestions how to remedy this without losing what is working? Are there plug-ins that can address this issue?

How can I activate my camera during a meeting on microsoft teams? I clicked the upper right camera icon in the teams toolbar during the meeting and it won;t turn on.

After using the "recent browsing" menu in the top left corner of FF and opening certain websites from the "import tabs from other devices" menu it has completely broken a handful of websites on my PC entirely, even using other browsers.

The page will load but no content is displayed, no links or media, just a blank white page. This is consistent among these websites even among other browsers including Chrome and Edge.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled FF multiple times, cleared cache/history, hard PC resets, refreshed FF, Uninstalled and reinstalled every browser. The issue persists.

These websites still function perfectly fine on mobile FF and Chrome. I've exhausted website permissions, app permissions, etc. The issue still persists. These websites were functioning just minutes before I tried importing them from the other devices tabs. Something about that functionality has completely broken them on my PC.

A recent update removed all of my most frequently visited sites and replaced them with garbage sites, even emails. Is there any way to get them back? That feature was so useful it was the main reason I've stayed with Firefox. It also won't let me remove the ones I don't want to see on that home page. It ignores "delete from history" and "remove" both.

There are some recent very popular images that are upsetting for me personally. Is there are way to keep the RECOMMENDED STORIES active but hid certain (or all) images?

TRYING TO DOWNLOAD FOX NATION APP ON MY SONY SMART TV, I HAVE ALREADY PAID MY YEARS SUBSCRIPTION, MY TV PROVIDER IS BLUE STREAM FIBER, WHICH IS NOT LISTER FOR FOX NATION. THEY SAY INSTALL THE APP, FOR SOME REASON I AM GETTING NOWHERE. HELP !!!

I don't know who gets paid for these deranged, incompetent ideas. For any number of rows of shortcuts in a new tab, with sponsored shortcuts disabled: when I dismiss a suggested shortcut, another one comes immediately to substitute it. This feature is completely useless. I cannot imagine anyone taking an ounce of joy when seeing this. Why is this fully problematic? 1) Aesthetic, 2) Lack of control and 3) Icons: if you create a site from the + button (which does not appear), it gets its icon. this does not happen when editing a suggestion can someone please help me with this issue?
