Popup GUI elements if pulled up twice in quick succession spike my CPU usage and crash the program

some examples: -menu bar menus -the menu button -context menus (websites with their own context menus do not do this) -preview tooltips

I've tried disabling extensions, turning hardware acceleration off and on and disabling AI to no avail. Disabling the preview tooltips 'worked' but I'd prefer not to disable everything here. Are there any other settings that might help?

Hi Can you please help i have tried everything to get rid of this message i have uninstalled and reinstalled i have constantly refreshed and nothing helps,I get the message The bookmarks and history system will not be functional because one of firefoxs files is in use by another application also for quick access place your bookmarks here on the bookmark toolbar. I am not very technical but it is driving me mad please fix this for me Thanks

Today, "prioritized email" notifications started to show up in the lower right hand corner of the monitor. They are very annoying! How do I prevent from appearing on the screen?

When File Explorer of Windows 11 25H2 tries to access and open an icon-file in the FF (144-64bit) profile's 'shortcutcache' folder, explorer gets Access Denied. The account running Firefox has admin rights.

Looking to the ACL of the profile folder containing the folder 'shortcutcache' show no reason for the blocking. Trying this with a new profile did not help.

Hello, I'm using Firefox 147.0.4 on Windows 11. When I open the Adobe Firefly website and I try to upload a file to the Adobe server using drag and drop or by browsing the Windows file system, nothing happens ... There's no error message, but the file isn't uploaded. Of course, this site works perfectly with Opera or Edge... On the Adobe forums, many users have the same problem with Firefox, and Adobe's response is always the same: change browsers ! For the past few days, I haven't been able to use Google Lens for searches. Why? It used to work, and I haven't changed anything on my computer.

there's damn near always problems, pages display funny, dont load, the browser has its own " loading circle" temp files/cache is still a problem? do you guys know its 2025 and browsers still cant handle temp files? mozilla has ZERO help. no wonder everyone uses chrome. but they suck a$$ too.

So if I download an attached file on gmail using Firefox... it crashes. If I open up a new tab on Firefox... it crashes. It only started this week.

I'm using 12.7.6 and I really don't want to go back to Chrome, so I hope you can help.

The macbook completely freezes apart from the mouse pointer which moves, but cannot open a thing. Every time I have to turn the macbook off to restart it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version.

Hello there we are several persons here, all connected to the internet via the same box (proxy). I would like tu to use your VPN. The other persons are not interested (no comment !). I'm running version 146.0.1 (64 bit) on a Windows 10 machine, and I've found that trying to use printscreen now opens Firefox. I cannot discern why, if it's a Windows setting or a keyboard issue or anything else

things I've tried:

- Disabling every extension - Disabling AMD Radeon - Disabling ShareX (My normal screenshot program) - Factory resetting my Keychron Q6 Max (in case there's some weird macro that got set up)

Any ideas? This might not be a firefox issue, but I figured I'd ask here. Thank you

I just installed Mozilla VPN but when it's active my internet connection stops working. Pretty sure whatever protocol it's using is the problem with the WIFI signal, but I can't find how to change the protocol like every other VPN service allows. How do I change the VPN protocol? There is strangely no article already on this site for this common problem.

REPEATING IMAGES involving . Macbook Air M4 Tahoe 26.2

When sliding from the primary Mac screen to another on the same computer the Firefox image (and ONLY that image) is duplicated on each additional screen image loaded making the use of multiple screens virtually useless.
