The new design in v.29 is awful. Why on earth would you take away the navigation buttons? How do I reinstall v.28?

Classic Theme Restorer does not fix the issue. Mozilla is usually so good at user testing, this was a real blunder.

Which buttons are you referring to?

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.

Firefox 29 doesn't remove any navigation buttons. If you're missing standard buttons, right-click an empty area of the tab bar and choose Customize, then click the Restore Defaults button.

Classic Theme Restorer provides additional options, like Stop and Reload buttons that can be placed on the left side of the address bar.

According to your system details, you're already using Firefox 28, which puts your system at risk because it lacks the security patches from Firefox 29.

What buttons are you missing? Installing Firefox 28 is not a good idea because it is now vulnerable. If you still want to do that though, here's a link to the Firefox 28 installer for Windows.

The back and forward navigation. I fixed it myself, found the additional options in classic theme restorer. Looks almost as good as v.28 now. I do miss forecastfox.

In the new version, even with customizing, the back and forward navigation is locked to the address bar. To get them in the old order, choose to show the icon and text and, then, you can move them freely. Not sure if this is a design error or what.

No, that was a planned design decision for Mobile devices. Unfortunately Firefox now uses the same UI for both Mobile and Laptop / Desktop versions, so the latter "takes a hit" in user configuration choices.

Hi greensun, in other threads, users who use CTR or another extension to re-create the Add-on bar were able to get ForecastFox working again. It might have needed to be disabled/enabled or something to have it detect the presence of the Add-on bar.

Install the development version from the author's homepage.

Edit: Sorry, it turns out the reviewer is mistaken. The version on the homepage still requires an add-on that provides a replacement add-on bar.
