2 months ago I've seen the navigation buttons have changed, so I thought this change was applied for everyone. But I see more and more users that still have the old style and honestly? I want it back :) (When I say "old style" I refer to this.

So.. you're telling me the issue I have- everyone have it? On a clean install it will be the same?

Thanks

Are you using a custom Firefox theme?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Meh, weird. I've restarted to safe mode, the icons are still white but with a change: the size of the back & forward returned to default size.

Plus I've found a bug on the way. If you restart in safe mode (with this annoying white theme [oh and btw, I have only one theme and it is the default one]), enter a page, enter another one in the same tab and go back, there will be a space after the back button. Perhaps this happens only in a RTL version of Firefox, not sure.

2 pictures attached for a better explanation.

Thanks for the quick respond and help, much appreciated.

Edit: damn, Firefox is super fast in safe mode (and with 80+- tabs) 0.0

Yes, the forward button isn't displayed when there is no forward history and some toolbar customizations can cause an empty space to appear instead of that space collapsing. Try to place a space or separator next to the forward button to see if that makes the forward button stay when it is disabled.

To remind you- these 2 pictures I've uploaded were taken from safe mode, thus no customizations can occur.

So.. what can I do about this white theme?

Edit: The forward button appears when it needs to, I'm not complaining about that. It just moves 2-3 mm from it's real position.

Did you try to search for a theme that looks better to you?

My point is to restore the REAL default theme with the right size and color, not to apply a new one.

Bump.

Should I post a topic at bugzilla or it's a matter of wrong settings?

the white buttons that you see are the default look when you've set firefox not to show tabs on top. (see screenshots attached).

if you want to change that, enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up), search for the preference named browser.tabs.onTop & toggle it to true by double-clicking it.

Oh, didn't think it would matter.

So OK, I changed it, but the "Back" button is still small. And I've tried looking at the customization- the "use small icons" is not ticked. And one more thing- the Open a New Tab icon is still white :X

Thanks.

is it still happening when you chose "restore to default set" in the customization dialog? otherwise please make sure that you don't have a userchrome.css-file or extension that is interfering here...

Wow. weird. I've tried restoring to default, the issue with the white "Open a new tab" still remains. userchrome.css-file does not exist in my profile folder. It can't be an extension since I've tried booting firefox into Safe Mode.

And one more thing, I'm amazed that this- https://support.mozilla.org/media/uploads/images/thumbnails/2012-09-03-09-58-07-1f18b0.png still happens even with a normal Back & Forward buttons!

Should I open a topic at bugzilla?

i'd first try to reset firefox and a clean un-&reinstall of firefox.

Well, that would definitely work. My point is WHY did it happen and how can I help Mozilla to avoid it in the future. It happened only after an update of Firefox.
