options disappear when I right click something

when I right click on things inside the Firefox browser, most of the options have disappeared. It is the same case in the view and tools menu up top. Only some of the options are showing and the the rest of the menu is blank. not only that, but when i roll the mouse over the blank sections, EVERYTHING disappears and i can't get any of it back without restarting Firefox. Does anyone know what the problem is?
