My computer tech re-opened FF without clicking Restore. How do I find my history data to restore my tabs?

When my computer tech guy restarted my computer he opened a new session of Firefox and I lost my history. I want to restore the session I had before my tech guy opened a new session. Is it possible to access the history after a new session has been opened or is the previous history deleted? If not, how can I restore the session. Under "History" the "Restore Previous Session" is greyed out. Philip
