Migrating bookmarks to new PC with newer version of Firefox

We're migrating several users to new PCs. The new PCs have a clean install of Firefox 6. The old PCs are running various older Firefox versions from 3.x to 5.x. Are the files in their profiles compatible with Firefox 6? Can I just drop them in and overwrite once the user has a profile folder?
