You are apparently using an outdated version of firefox with outdated plugins, those factors are security risks. Unfortunately the problems may be due to malware, and if that is the case it may not be an easy problem to deal with.

Are you writing these posts from the problem machine ?

What is the problem exactly, are you still able to open firefox maybe in firefox's Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode, and the problem is merely putting a shortcut back on your Windows desktop ?
