tried to delete bookmarks. Doesn't work.

When I try to delete my bookmarks, they don't go away. Now I have an overloaded supply of bookmarks that I don't want.

Solution choisie

Check places.sqlite in the profile to make sure that it is not read-only. If it is, change that attribute. You can find the profile from Help > Troubleshooting Information, click the button next to Profile Directory. Close Firefox before doing anything to the profile.
