How do I stop TomToms website from appearing on my computer when I turn my computer on?

When I turn my computer on I get the Desktop as usual, then it connects to the internet and up comes 'TomTom getting started' web page. How do I stop my computer automatically connecting to the internet, please? I had a TomTom sat nav and did use the website 'TomTom Getting Started' last week, but I had to return it as it didn't work properly and since using the TomTom website, that once, I have had this problem.
