When I click a link in an e-mail it opens in IE but I want it to open in FF4 - How?

When I receive an e-mail in MS Outlook 2007 that contains a link to a web-site and I click on the link to go to the web-site, the web-site opens in Internet Explorer 8.x. My default browser is Firefox 4.x.

How can I get these links to use Firefox not IE?

Additional Detail: This problem does not occur when I use my g-mail account and click a link in a g-mail message. In that case, the link opens in Firefox as I would like to do in all cases.

I am running Windows XP service pack 3, fully updated, as my operating system.
