Hey folks, just wondering when the Windscribe add‑on will be moved to the MV3 framework. Other browsers already have it at v4.x and I’d love to see Firefox catch up so we can use the new privacy features. Is there an ETA on the review/approval process? TIA

Hi Brent

This will be down to the independent developer of that add-on to progress if they wish to. I recommend that you ask them about it through the page that you downloaded the add-on from.

Hi Paul, I just worked with the Developer online and the extension for Windscirbe in a newer version has been out for Month and I tried to install the .xpi file and it would not install. The new extension for firefox browsers is V4 but we could not find it in the Firefox extensions and they mentioned that while it is out that it had to be tested by Firefox and approved before it shows up on Firefox Extensions, sorry I am confused. Thank you for your help.

or rather the .xpi file that I received would not install, I went to file open and tried to install it that way. Is that the way to install them? Thank You

Paul I stand corrected and just spoke with Windscribe and the hold up is on their Firefox Dev team, my apologies, they said Firefox Dev group and I assumed Mozilla Firefox, sorry on my misinterpation. Thanks for your help. Brent

No problem at all, I hope it gets resolved soon.
