No more AI
The push for more AI is absolutely asinine. Mozilla has been my first and only choice for ages because I trust them to have the best interests of their consumers at heart. This push towards more AI is going to kill the fans of Mozilla. It’s insane that they would read the room with the failures of Copilot among other things and go “yea, sign us up for that.” I understand this is a company driven by profits, but dear god this is a terrible terrible move and I expect the fallout of this decision to be swift and severe.

I agree and am in the process of moving all my sync data to Vivaldi on all my machines, and then will be deleting my firefox account.
Thank you for your feedback, we really do appreciate it
Please be assured that Firefox will always remain a browser built around user control. That includes AI with increased user controls being made available in the first quarter of 2026. Choice matters and demonstrating our commitment to choice is how we build and maintain trust.
I have yet to see an ethical or even useful application of AI in a web browser setting so you’ll have to forgive me for being completely skeptical that this rollout is user focused in the slightest.
I recognize that you’re just doing your job and answering concerns based on the script you’ve been given, but I am not assured by this response and if anything I’m even more ready to leave Mozilla behind once this rollout happens. As you said choice matters, and I will not choose to continue to support a company that jumps on the AI hype train thoughtlessly.
Thank you for your feedback.
Improved user controls to disable AI in Firefox settings is planned for a future version of Firefox.
As for leaving feedback or suggestions for improvement, the people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or developers. When a Mozilla employee responds, you'll see the Mozilla staff label next to their name.
To leave feedback for Mozilla developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues. For example, see this recent Mozilla Connect thread.
