I have many shared excel files saved in a browser and just now I opened a few and to my horror they have changed over to sharepoint and won't open. I need to get them back as excel, how do I do that, and how do I stop firefox from converting my excel files to sharepoint?

Save copies of your excel sheets somewhere else? Sorry, I can't help about sharepoint but it smacks of sap and other commercial things. I can't grasp the concept of saving files in a browser - what does that mean? What software is telling firefox what to do? How do you create excel sheets then lose them? This app take away your mind? Why do you think this is an appropriate site to complain about microsoft things? In reading google search results there is nothing I found that explains in clear english just what it does. Sample: "..manage content, applications, and resources across teams, facilitating collaboration and information sharing within an organization." Oh, I see... And your screenshot is what?
