Hi Ashley, does it seem that a line break is getting inserted (as if you pressed Enter or Shift+Enter when you were typing something else), or that the lines are "wrapping" much earlier than they did before and there are no line breaks to delete?

I have made contact with Polaris Mail and they couldn't find any issue with there system.

I've just gone to write an e-mail and it has wrote 3 words and dropped a line, then two words, then five words, then nine words and then dropped to four words.

I have just looked at the "source edit" option on the e-mail and it is showing
between the sets of words where the line is dropping.

I assume this is the issue, but is this an issue with firefox since the update or with polaris mail?

It's difficult to think of a reason for those if you aren't inserting a break.

Does it seem time related? If you type one word and wait, does something insert a line break?

Is there any Firefox feature or add-on or system feature doing word expansion or replacement (like AutoCorrect or AutoText in Microsoft Word, for example)?

And more generally, if Firefox is interpreting input from your keyboard weirdly, you sometimes need to do a regular shutdown/restart of the system to clear that up.

Okay, we are getting somewhere.

I have done a deep scan using Avast to make sure there is nothing untoward before i carry on looking into this any further. This has come back clear on the main scan, but when i did a "boot time scan" i had a couple of phishing items.

I did also test to see if i could write a number of words before it dropped down. I was writing the words one, two, three, ect... and it was dropping between five and seven.

I also tested to see if i wrote one letter if it would drop down. If i type a letter "t" and wait it will just stay there, if i type a letter "t" and press the space bar, it will move a space and then drop down to the line below.

Also, i only have two add-ons which have been on my system for a long time. The one is google translate and the other screen capture.

I have tried our emails on three other computers that use firefox and all of them are doing the same.

Hmm, I wonder what is happening when you type a space? On a mobile device keyboard, some kind of autocorrect function might run automatically, but I don't think Windows does that.

In the "t space" example, was that the first letter on the line? I ask that because in your original image, it looks like the body lines break/wrap at the point of the vertical divider in the signature block. Was that a coincidence or is there a pattern like that?

It does it with any letter, it seems to be the space bar that is causing this issue, but I don't know why.

The signature is a GIF file and I have tried it with and without this signature to see if this had changed anything, but still no luck.

I do appreciate your thoughts and replies as i'm lost.

So, i have been testing the emails on both Firefox and Edge and have noticed that it is definitely only an issue on Firefox.

If i write an email on firefox, but unmark "use html markup" it makes the e-mail plain but i don't seem to have the spacebar issue.

Also, i have updated Polaris mail on the issues i'm finding so they're also looking into it further.

Thank you for following up here and asking Polaris to look into it (since it's hard for support people without an account to poke around in there).
