Firefox browser hangs for about a minute when text is copied.
Firefox for Windows hangs when I copy text, either by Ctrl+X, Ctrl+C or by using a right-click menu. The browser just stops responding. It doesn't crash. Eventually, it will return and behave normally.
I tried removing all extensions and closing all open tabs. No change. I'm out of ideas. I suspect it may be trying to synchronize with something it can't find or there's network latency. Task Manager shows it's using a lot of resources. It doesn't do it every time, just often enough to be frustrating.

So... No replies... Evidently this isn't the place to go for help with Firefox. I don't want to have to use a different browser, but these delays while editing are seriously aggravating.
Can anyone recommend a place where a person can get help with a Firefox problem?
Hello! Try reinstalling the browser! Have a nice day!

Thanks.
I think it's time to start using a different browser. It seems I have encountered a problem that cannot be fixed.
I would try a new profile. If it works, you can copy data from the old profile but you will have to reinstall add-ons (except plug-ins).

Thanks Terry!
I think I have isolated the source of the problem. It seems to be Facebook and the version of Windows I'm using. When I close the Facebook tab, the problem goes away. My guess is there may be processes that monitor my activities that take a lot of resources. I don't have the problem with other computers that are running Windows 11--only this one computer. For the time being, I am using Remote Desktop to use Facebook on another computer as a workaround. The computer with the problem is participating in the Windows Insider Program at the beta level.
