I updated FF to version 90.0.2, & it now keeps asking me for my primary password. I've tried resetting it, & rebooting Windows 10 Pro X64, but nothing seems to help. I don't actually have to do anything, except hit Cancel, but it bothers me that FF is glitchy.

No software additions, system is stable, running Sophos anti-virus

Any ideas? Thanks!

Are you using Sync as that can be a reason to get the prompt to enter the Primary Password?

No, not using Sync at all, as this is my home computer.

Hmm, Firefox shows this prompt if it wants or needs to access the Password Manager for some reason like when you access a website for which there is a saved login. If you cancel a PP prompt then you always log out and that doesn't help in such a case. You can possibly disable the Password Manager and if necessary open Lockwise to get the PP prompt.

I enter my PP when I restart FF. The, after some random period, I get asked for it again, & again. But, even when I cancel out, FF inserts my site passwords, so not sure of the security status.
