You could try creating a new profile, at least temporarily, to see if your tab sub system is reinstated.

Copy the below and paste in URL field, then Enter. Then there is a create button near the top left section of the page:

about:profiles

Sorry,I could not fine the below URL field.

I know very little about computers.

I use to be able to use this to restore my Tabs: Alt & V and then T/F11,but this does not work.

Please,any other suggestions?

Ok, i see. My apologies for not being clearer.

Copy the following:

about:profiles

Then paste it into the URL field. Then enter.

A behind the scense profile management page should be produced.

And on it, there is a button called "create".

Click it to create a new virgin profile.

Then test drive it to see if your tab situation resolves. If it does, then we found a clue to a possible fix for you.

When you close FF, the current profile that has no tabs will activiate again.

I know that you are trying to help me.

But,I can not follow your instructions.

I can not get "Copy" to show up. (I have used "Copy" and "Paste" before.)

I even printed your instructions.

Is there any other way to try and get my Tabs back?

ok, i see. i'm former navy too.

so it may seem that your browser issue may be not just limited to tabs.

Do you have a Menu Bar at the top of your browser with the old options of FIle, Edit, View,...., Help ?

Yes,I have my Menu bar. (But,I lost it about 20 minutes ago,I do know how to get the Menu bar back,and it is back.)

While i think the nuclear option would work on your FF, you may have issues with your operating system which in turn is affecting FF.

You see, FireFox is usually highly stable and would not do these things out-of-the-blue, per se.

But its never easy to diagnose these types of issues over this type of connectivity.

So i am leaning towards your windows o.s. not performing as it should be.

Windows 10 updating system is somewhat unreliable for some people/computers.

Lets try to get some bearings known:

a. Do you notice other issues with your computer, outside of the FireFox browser?

b. How much computer memory ram does your machine have?

c. Can you provide how much virtual memory/page file your machine has too?

I USE to know how to find my Ram setting when I have a GREAT OP,(Windows 7), now with W. 10,I can not find my RAM

setting. I don't know how to find my "No virtual memory".

I did find this: Local Disk (C:) 41 GB of 463 GB via my Control Panel.

Please tell me how to find my number of RAM(s).

Any chance with that phone call?

I just checked my Blood pressure and it was 189/78/83,I may have to give this up.Monday I cna go to Anniston,Al

about 40 miles away and take my computer to a repair shop there. I live in Sylacauga,Al with no computer repair

shop here.

It's likely the operating system needing to be updated but is having a hard time doing so.

A computer geek is probably needed but i dont think you should pay anyone for the service.

Do you have email capablities?
