I want engine selected in the Search Bar to be sticky
Hi,
Thanks for all of your excellent work on the Firefox browser--it's truly first-in-class. I've searched for the answer to my question, but haven't found it addressed anywhere.
At present, I can move focus to the Search Bar, which I've added to Firefox's interface, enter some text, and press the down arrow to select a search engine to search with. All well and good. However, the next time I ctrl+k, enter text, and press enter, the Search Bar reverts to my default search engine. I could, of course, have simply searched via the Address Bar (ctrl+l), which always searches using the default search engine. The behavior I want is to make the Search Bar sticky such that any queries entered therein are performed in the *last selected search engine*. In other words, I want to use the Search Bar as a quick way to access and search using the search engine I selected previously (during this session at least). Note that this behavior would conflict with the prompt, "This time, search with...". I don't find the Search Bar behavior useful as-is; it would be far more useful if the selected engine were sticky.
Is there any way I can achieve this behavior?
