Hi Ian, I'm very sorry about that. The first reply was a spammer. I've deactivated his forum account.
Would you mind sending us a screenshot of what you're seeing? For instructions, see How do I create a screenshot of my problem?.
Hi Chris
Thank you replying so promptly.
As requested I attach a screenshot of the email as requested.
Appreciate any help you can give me.
Regards
Ian
Hi Ian, I've just run a password reset on a test Firefox account, and the email message rendered correctly.
Somewhere between Mozilla and your Inbox, the message is being altered. Can you view your messages using a web browser?
Hi Chris
Screenshot of email taken from Firefox browser. As you can see it is the same.
Any advice?
Thanks for your help
Ian
This is a bit of a hack, but it won't hurt to try it....
- Select all the text in the email, including the headers.
- Right-click on the selected text, and choose Copy.
- Open Notepad, and right-click > Paste.
- Save it as an EML file.
- In Thunderbird, go to File > Open Saved Message, and open the EML file.
If the message renders properly, you can then set the primary address on your Firefox account to something other than Yahoo, and see if the problem is specific to Yahoo.
Hi Chris I had a go at this and couldn't manage the process outlined. I will see if I can run some other anti virus systems. Regards Ian
