in the same manner that they can be sorted in the bookmarks library.

in the same manner that they can be sorted in the bookmarks library.

Solution choisie

The Organize menu is the first of the three buttons on the toolbar in the Bookmarks Manager (Library), the others are the View menu and Import & Backup.

  • Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks

The Undo item in the Organize menu allows to undo any changes made in the current session like an accidental delete.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 10.0 r45 by removing it with this tool : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-mac-os.html If you use it Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.154 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Try this:

Open the Library, and then right-click the Bookmarks Toolbar folder in the left column of the Library window. Use the Sort By Name menu item.

The Views menu in the Library is only for viewing purposes and is the same as clicking a column header to sort by this column. Nothing is changed this way, the only way to sort permanently is via "Sort By Name" in the right-click context menu of a bookmarks folder.

I don't see a way back to whatever the previous sort was. IE: I tend to edit the www. off the name and then sort as I want with some folders. There's no option key to toggle or the like?

There is no way back although it might work if you use "Organize -> Undo" to undo changes made in the current Firefox session. Otherwise you would have to restore a JSON backup.

The Bookmarks Toolbar folder shows bookmarks you see on the Bookmarks Toolbar and only actually sorting this folder will have effect, so Views won't work as it only lasts in the Library.

I don't know what the latest Flash version is for OS X 10.9, but it is certainly not a 10.0 version. The current Flash version is for 10.10 and higher. The other versions page no longer supports 10.9 as well and a Google search doesn't help as well.

yea, certainly an issue with other apps, for me staying in 10.9. But alas, one piece of software I use regularly is just too costly an upgrade at this time; in addition to a new Mac. I should have at least upgraded my Mac when the last of the 10.9 supported Macs came out, prolly the '15s.
