Firefox crashed today while I was watching my Netflix, and I can't get on Netflix any more. The "error occured" notice said "reload", but how???

Reload what?

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Press the Reply button. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

I was watching Netflix when Firefox crashed (which it does almost daily) The note on screen read (Error occurred - reload what you are watching) No instructions how to do that,AND Netflix was shut down entirely and remains so !!! I have posted many "reports" and have never heard a word in return. My Netfllix is now completely unusable and I am very upset about that. Is there a solution to this problem or not ???

Crash reports are sent to the Mozilla servers. Not to us. You need to provide the report numbers so we can look them up.

Unfortunately I just clicked "Report" as the screen said to do, and it was sent. How was I supposed to know that it didn't go to you??? As I have written, Firefox crashes on the average of once a day. That stinks!

I was just told to click on "Send Report" and I did. I sent the Report I was directed to send. The fact that the report that Firefox crashes (on a regular basis) doesn't get to Firefox is beyond ludicrous, and is most certainly not my fault.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Advanced -> Network -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
