Firefox wants to print gmail attachments (PDF's) twice.

For several years now, any PDF document that I get as an attachment to an email (via Gmail) does not print correctly.

I open the Gmail attached PDF within Firefox. I click on the "Print" icon, and the PDF is opened in a separate tab, and the Print dialogue box opens. I click on Print...and the PDF prints correctly...but then the Print dialogue box opens a second time.

This has been a problem for several versions of Firefox, and has happened regardless of the Windows OS that I've used (Windows 8...8.1...and now 10). This did not always happen, but I can't remember the version of Firefox which first displayed this issue.

These Gmail PDF's print correctly on other browers (Opera, Chrome, Vivaldi), but I'd rather use Firefox. Can anyone help? Tried the suggestions within Mozilla support, to no avail. Is this a known issue?
