How do I get rid of old folders. I have emptied them, but they do not vanish.
Folders have accumulated on my Firefox page. Most are completely outdated and I need room for new ones. I have totally emptied several and hit delete, but they remain in place. Does anyone have a solution?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail" such as Yahoo!Mail or Gmail. You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.
If your problem is with Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird support queue.

Folders of e-mails from committees, edited papers, misc. information that isn't needed now.
