I'm a total noob to Android, so I don't know how much of this is specific to my phone (Galaxy S7) and how much is consistent across Android vendors, but I'm able to find downloaded images in the Gallery app next to recent photos I've taken. I looked in the My Files app and looked around and found that the actual file is stored in a folder called My Files > Device Storage > Download. Hope this helps.

This is right for Internet Browser native (There is a directory called "Download" in the root directory tree of my phone where I can find all what I have downloaded), but not for Mozilla Firefox! I not use Firefox anymore, because of this problem. There is actually a contextual menu for downloading image in Firefox, but where are they? Thanks a lot to have tried to help me !

Do you have anything set in about:config under browser.download.dir or browser.download.lastDir? You can try clearing those. Also, you can try using the search function in your file browser if you know the name of a file you downloaded.

Hi. Thanks for trying help me, but: I can't find a directory called containing "brow" or "fire" (to find something like Firefox") even in subdirectories, and I have tried searching "jpg". no result (except intruderPhoto....jpg  ;-) ) ! (phone and SDcard)

Downloaded files go to /sdcard/Download on Android. You would need a file browser app to see them. A simple file browsing app is OI File Manager.

Hello ! Thanks for answering. Sorry, this is right for standard internet browser, but not for Firefox !! This is my problem.... For the moment, I use the standard, but I would use Firefox for Android ! And the downloaded things don't appear clearly in the filesystem....
