Firefox does not have a built-in keyboard shortcut for taking a capture of the page, at least not yet. It does have a button you can use to capture an image of the full page, without the rest of the screen. I'll describe that, in case you need it.

To set up the full page screenshot tool:

(1) Open Firefox's Web Console using either the Developer menu or Ctrl+Shift+k. This should open in the bottom of the current tab.

(2) Near the upper right of the console, before the "x" to close the console is a gear icon. If you mouse over it, the tooltip is Toolbox Options. Click that and a long panel of checkboxes should appear.

(3) Scroll down and on the left side toward the bottom, check the box for "Take a fullpage screenshot". This should add a little camera icon to the top toolbar of the web console.

In the future, when you click this button, Firefox will create a snapshot of the webpage and save it according to your download preference (either asking you where or saving it in your default download folder. By default, the file name will reflect the date and time it was saved, for example: "Screen Shot 2015-09-01 at 17.58.50.png"

I'm not aware of a way to move this camera button to another more convenient location, unfortunately.

Hmm, if you were previously using an entry in your right-click context menu, it probably was created by an extension. You could check for an update to the extension using the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Above the list, you should find a "gear" button. You can click that and "Check for Updates".

Hi, there are a number of add-ons that can be used for taking screenshots, such as Nimbus Screen Capture - editable screenshots.
