I've continued to attempt to follow the fix solutions on the support page. However, my Shockwave will not even allow me to open a video without crashing again and again, until after several minutes I give up. I therefore can't make any of the necessary changes, such as disabling hardware acceleration. Based on everything else I've seen it looks like you're going to need my crash report history. Here are the 5 most recent reports:

Like I said I can't do any of the necessary fixes listed in the other support articles. If there is any advice that someone can give me to help it would be extremely helpful. I love Firefox, but it doesn't look like it will be the browser for me until this issue gets resolved as I can't do anything without getting the Shockwave Error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

First, please update Firefox to version 32, also please submit the other crash reports from about:crashes and clicking submit. The ones with bp will have been successfully submitted.

Also, what is the error message that you receive "the Shockwave Error message."?

I believe I have the most updated version of Firefox. When I go to the Mozilla page I don't see anywhere to update, and it says on the page that I have the most up to date version of Firefox. This is the first time I've used Firefox since I submitted the request because it was so frustrating. So far I haven't got the error message, I will continue to poke around and see if it comes up at all. Here are the first 7-10 error messages:

So over the weekend my laptop decided to give up on me, and bit the dust. I'm getting a new one this week and hope to not have the same issue.

Thanks for your help!

Not sure what the specific details are but I reset some value to -1(minus one) and that was supposed to solve the problem with shockwave crashing. It didn't. Why can't the people at Mozilla fix this problem? Do you have to pass a stupid test to work for Mozilla?????
