URL bar completely unresponsive to 'go'.

It's hard to describe this properly, but the URL bar allows input of text but nothing more. Hitting enter or clicking the arrow to go to the site or search query entered does literally nothing. Any bookmark suggestions that appear cannot be put into the URL bar text field but I cannot go to them. I can access the bookmarks via the bookmarks bar, however. The search bar still works as normal. This problem seems to have started immediately after updating to Firefox 31.0 on both Windows 8.1 and Mac OS X 10.9. Thank you in advance.
