I sometimes get rerouted to a different web page with a "404 error" or "url too long" when just viewing some pages.

When browsing, I often get rerouted to a search page with an error message. It happens at various web sites sometimes after clicking on a link but often even after viewing a page for a while. In the displayed search page (yahoo, I believe) it seems to show "handler" and something that may have been a pop up or ad in the viewed page.
