I am running Firefox version 155.0.1 under Windows 10. I am receiving Extended Security Updates. When I update Firefox with the automatic updater it replaces the old version with the new one and everything runs fine but the automatic updater fails to clear the leftover registry key from the previous installation. This leaves me with two versions of Firefox listed on the Apps & features page. In order to avoid having this extra entry I have been uninstalling Firefox and then running the installation program to update to the next version. Uninstall removes both entries, but if try using the automatic updater again, once again it fails to clear the leftover registry key from the previous installation. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue. With the frequency of updates being released, I would like to update with the automatic updater without having to remove the ghost registry key each time or resorting to uninstalling the previous version before running the install program.

On current Firefox & Android, why do I have to turn on VPN every time I open Firefox, if an app redirects a url to Firefox the VPN is off, also what is the Mozilla url I can check I'm connected via VPN? Thank you.

I am unable to open applications in Firefox. When I try to open an application, nothing happens or it does not load properly. I have already tried restarting Firefox, but the problem still exists. Please help me fix this issue.

I get several message that: I cannot connect to Amazon, Several websites, etc. It sometimes has something to do with private windows and/or can't connect! Could be license, ssl, etc. When I force a firefox private window, it works for a while then goes back to the same thing. Any ideas how I can fix this?

I am having trouble with my Simple Practice connection static and video not functioning for my sessions with clients on Firefox and would like to have this remedied...Maybe I just need an update but looked under Settings and didn't see that option. Please advise. Thank you!

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

The same thing happens with YouTube TV. My Bitdefender also flagged it as a suspicious page.

I've searched & waited past few years for an Extension to make the TOOLBAR FONTS larger, none found. Reason being many of us are using larger monitors and TV's and we're usually sitting or standing further away from the screen. Problem is the font size cannot be changed, they stay small and hard to read comfortably. __YES I've reset my operating systems font size, that does not work in Firefox TOOLBARS. __Changing the "firefox/addon/theme-font-size-changer" has been eliminated by Firefox. __Changing the "layout.css.devPixelsPerPx" to a larger number increases the whole TOOLBAR. I just want the FONT size larger. __(someone suggested) NO, I'm not going to setup 2 monitors.

I hopped over to the ideas page because I had a couple suggestions, and found I was not alone because lo and behold someone else had the same ideas. So I decided to agree by hitting the kudos button, but imagine my surprise when instead of adding to the number of users who supported the idea, this feature only seemed to reload the page for me!

I am running 155.0.1 latest version at the time of this writing. I am able to log into Netflix, but cannot play content. Part of their trouble shooting was to disable and re-enable DRM (widevine). The problem is that now that I have done so, I cannot get widevine installed again. Is there a manual way to get this installed, clean up what Netflix was so gallant about messing up on my computer? I have seen some old and sketchy posts on redit and other places that suggest ways to do this, but they scare me. I searched the forums here, and didn't see anything that directly affected my question, although I might have missed it.

Is there a way to remove "recent bookmarks" from the book marks pull down menu? Or at least hide them. It causes a total lack of privacy when any and all bookmarks can be seen in full view. Seems a stupid thing to not be able to hide them. Other browsers only show book marks when you go to the folder they are in.

Somehow over the years I ended up with two accounts. Today, after an update, FireFox opened up but without passwords. In order to get them back, I have to sign in to FireFox. Okay, that's easy. I enter the email address, the password (yes, it is correct - I checked two different ways), and it says that I am already signed in through the other account. I open that account and it says I must sign in. I'm on FF 154.0. The power went out here and when it came back and I booted the desktop computer something had changed in FF.

I used to see the active tab as green in the tab bar and yellow for the rest, but now they're all gray until I mouse over the bar and only then does it turn green/yellow.

I struggled with this for many hours trying many //active tab color// solutions I found in searches but nothing got it back to my old behavior.

So as a last resort I tried adding the Firefox Color extension, but when I click Add to Firefox it just turns into a throbber that never changes so it doesn't install. I'm stuck!
