Just lately, Firefox has been going on about Profiles, I don't know why. I have no need for such things, yet in my Windows menu, everything says "– Original profile" at the end. All this does is make things difficult to see. How can I get rid of it, please?

my old email was discontinued kanokla no longer provides the service ,so i got a gmail address and i wish to update my primary but i cant because i need a 6 digit code from my kanokla email which doesnt exist any more.so i cannot update my info because i am working towards installing Linux and i am trying to get everything in order. can you help please my new email is [email removed]@gmail.com

I had been using with several companies when I was working with their other companies. Now that I've completed most for my laptops, I've tried to cancel most of companies and avoid companies I that still try to seek more work.

You may have seen that I had a couple of laptops. There are two laptops, one that has a 10 top laptop and no more on the and the new laptop that has a 11 laptop.

I have been using [email1] @gmail.com and [email2] @gmail.com. I have been using both for some people. I can use only just to [email2[ @gmail.com. I always try to use only users I know. I also have protections I uses. My problem, I'm not familiar with Mozilla default for Firefox and your way the data and is safe in the one or two? I don't know how to handle the default. If I had the time to look the default I'd have to check, I would.

My brother has been having problems for several about two years. He was very smart and has been 11 years older than me. I've been helping him to a few trips to his home until his heart could not handle it.

Recently when starting the browser I've seen that Microsoft Defender blocks requests to one of my homepage shortcuts, due to it finding the URL suspicious. My question is as the title suggests: does Firefox ping the URLs or fetch metadata of said domains automatically/in the background to update the icons, website title, etc? It is always suspicious to find Microsoft Defender stating it blocks request to websites I haven't accessed in a while. So I'm trying to deduce if it is a feature and not a ghost in the wires...

Why isn't there a simple means to remove/prevent searches for the address bar, using config doesn't work.

I've used Firefox for over twenty years, this annoyance will end that and force a move to Brave.

I am not sure what to do first. I already paid for the VPN subscription. I reinstalled Mozzilla VPN but have not yet put the sudo lines in that are listed in the help on Firefox. Can you send me an email with instructions and any special sudo lines I need to intall so I do not get charged a second time. I heve the recovery code. I am new to Mint. Windows 11 started knocking out my hardware with power surges. Had to come from the operating system itself since the machine is hooked to a power backup that smoothes the current out. I searched, and all the internet results I find tell me to look in the settings:applications:mailto ddlb and select Yahoo. The problem is that it's not there.

There is a "use other" but there's no hint on how I'd tell it to open https://mail.yahoo.com.

How do I get it to open Yahoo mail?

This is on W11.

My home desktop computer is asking for a network login to access the internet today, after FireFox crashed. I do not see anywhere to login. Please help. I have a Mini Mac. I am at a library as my internet is not working.

Please tell me what to do to get the bookmarks back. Up to date Firefox: 147.01. Mac OS Sequoia: 15.5.

I had the Toolbar and Bookmarks Library yesterday. All are gone today. I have already spent much time reading on Mozilla site and Reddit. I will have to go to Safari and work from there.

I will check back periodically to see if I get any help.

So, I configured the suggestions in the search bar so that nothing from my history/previous searches is displayed (see attached image with current settings). However, suggestions from my past searches still continue to appear. I would like only the autocomplete suggestions from my search engine to appear (I'm using Kagi). I already tried to delete my browsing history (Crtl + Shift + Delete - Everything, browsing and download history), it deleted everything but my past searches... Can somebody help me?
