I have the little plus sign for a new tab, but when I click on it, it won't open. I can't get any additional tabs open.
I can also right click on the "new tab" sign, and click on new tab and still I can't get a new tab to open. Never had this problem before.

iirc there is a compatibility issue with the Ask Toolbar, and I think your Sytem Details indicate you may be using that, try disabling or uninstalling the Ask toolbar to see if that solves the problem.
