I'm trying to do this on my android phone but I'm not sure if it's possible
For how to make Firefox the default web browser on Android. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/make-firefox-default-browser-android
If this is really about search engines in Firefox then see https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manage-my-default-search-engines-firefox-android
