Hyperlinks in E-Mails won't open in Firefox-browser, though set as default-browser in Windows 10

After updating to Windows 10, the first thing that I did, was to set Firefox as default browser. I opened Settings>System/Default Apps and changed the default browser from Edge to Firefox. And I set Firefox also as default-browser in the Firefox-settings.

Now, everytime when I click on a hyperlink in an email, there opens a pop-up asking how I will open this link, headline "Highlights in Windows 10: Microsoft Edge", and the little box where I can check "always use this app" is unchecked, though I selected it before. Though I am settings always Firefox in this box as default, next time I click on a link in an email, the box pops up again and asks the same question.

It looks to me as if Microsoft tries to make things difficult, when you deny to use Edge as default-browser. Is there a way to avoid this permanent pop-up-questions?

Thanks and vielen Dank + please, excuse my bad English!
