sic_contentContainer is pushed down by sic_sideBar.

This anomaly is exhibited in FireFox; Chrome/Safari/Opera do not present such issue.

Seems to be working fine here.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

You're running both, NoScript and uBlock. Make sure nothing gets blocked that is required to display the page properly.

I have ran FireFox 39.0 in SAFE mode and also disabled BOTH NoScript & uBlock Origin in normal mode.

Neither of which resolves the misalignment of sic_contentContainer under sic_sideBar at www.shareinvestor.com/news/index.html#/?type=sg_news_all&page=1

OK. I can replicate your issue if I increase the minimum font size over 18 or zoom the page over 150% (zoom text only).

You may have zoomed web page(s) by accident. Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl/Command+0 (zero))

If you have made changes to Advanced font size settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the Default font size setting "16" and the Minimum font size setting "none" in case the current setting is causing problems.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly. You can use the NoSquint extension to set font size (text/page zoom) and text color on web pages.

Oh wow, you may have nailed the cause! Thank you!

Yes, I have minimum font size set to 15. And if I disable it to none, the layout revert to normal but the tiny text on 1920 x 1200 resolution are too small for my eyes. Hence the min font size.

Did you try to zoom the page instead of increasing the font size?

Make sure that "Zoom > Zoom Text Only" is disabled.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

Thank you for your help, Cor-El! How are you related to Jor-El or Kal-El? :p

Zooming page, instead of increasing font size will render images fuzzy.

I will take a look at the two extensions.
