I am using FF36 and attempting to create new Sync account. I am using a valid email account that is working. I have requested a confirming email multiple times over the last couple of days so I can validate the account. Nothing. I added mozilla as trusted. I checked all trash, junk, and spam files. Email not misplaced, Just not recieved. I even turned off zonealarm for a while to see if firewall might be blocking. Still no email from Mozilla.

I was amazed to get an email allowing me to set up this account. I cannot imagine why this worked but Sync email won't get through.

SUCCESS!

On 3/16/2015, I received an update to firefox for android. On a hunch, I decided to try and set up a new Sync account. I used the same form, entered the same information, and followed all directions as I had done many times before. However, this time a verification email magically appeared in my email inbox! I clicked on the enclosed link and my account was immediately verified!

i have no idea of what blocked the verification email from being sent or received in the first place and no idea of what was in the update that corrected the problem.

The only help I can offer to someone who may have a similar issue is: "Try again."

I know it's trivial, but did you check that the email requested when setting a sync account up was spelled correctly?

@LewisGrimes Thanks for making the suggestion. I did check the spelling and structure of the email address I provided. I double and triple checked this matter before and after reading your response.

Obviously there is a solution I haven't found yet but I have no idea what it could be. I googled the issue, found a variety of suggestions for similar issues, and tried them all. Still, the email never arrives in my inbox. I am willling to try most any suggetion at this point.

Edit: Set up a new email account. Tried using new email account to set up Sync. Still did not receive any verification email. ISP says not blocking so must be some setting on computer that is blocking email but I cannot find it.

Are you sure you are creating your account on https://accounts.firefox.com/signup/

@mimi89999 Thanks for your response. I followed your link and it looks exacly like the form I have been using. I used your link to again attempt to set up a Sync account, but still received no email. I then clicked "Resend Email". Still nothing.

Does anyone know of a way I could request support to attempt to send a verification email other than the automated version? Is their anyone that can escalate this matter?

I am still unable to set up a Sync account because I do not receive any email from accounts.firefox.com.

Anyone else have a suggestion of what may be interfering with the verification email? or how to report this as an ongoing issue?
